The world needs to understand that Brandon is seriously mentally ill. His family had made many attempts to get him into treatment, but, due to the fact that he is an adult as long as he refuses treatment, in this state, it extremely difficult to force him into treatment. He had several encounters with the law that should have lead to being committed to a mental health facility but the authorities who could have helped him fell down on the job. I cry for the young man that lost his life and for Brandon as neither of them will ever reach their god given potential.
