Someone's son, somewhere

No surprise from an organization that hates and fears America and is actively working for its destruction.

Moveon.org is a bunch of lunatics that bragged two years ago they bought and paid for the Democratic party.....well...they can HAVE it. We are now a family of independents.

Kristol would have served valiantly, but he was busy. But it's the thought that counts, isn't it?

of course, since we have an all volunteer army, the ad is moot anyway...

"Having slandered a distinguished general officer, MoveOn.org "...how about "Having slandered a distinguished officer and presidential candidate, SwiftBoat...". Kristol conveniently and intentionally ignores what SwiftBoat did to Kerry. It's okay for the goose, but not okay for the gander. What a hypocrite.
""Does that mean that she wants other people's sons to keep the wolves at bay so that her son can live a life of complete narcissism? What is it she thinks happens in the world?... Someone has to stand between our society and danger. If not my son, then who? If not little Alex, then someone else will have to stand and deliver. Someone's son, somewhere." " This woman is blinded by fear. We are not keeping the wolves at bay by being in Iraq; we're making them howl at our door because of it. And, if Alex did "stand and deliver", would that let off someone's elses son...? Double-standard. And, if the wolves tried to come to the US, I'm positive a lot more citizens would join the service (just like they did after September 11, which by the way it was not Iraq who attacked us)- just like what happened after Pearl Harbor. I'll fight for my backyard, but I am not going to fight in a pre-emptive, unprovoked, only-in-it-for-oil war. "...we will need young men and women willing to risk their lives for our nation. And we're not entering any such world. " Well, until that "world" can prove that the fight is a good/just fight where ever that fight is, this will always be an issue. How many volunteers were there for Vietnam verses those drafted...hmmm? There'd been a lot fewer soldiers in Vietnam if there hadn't been a draft. |

Great Column William Kristol. I somehow got on the moveon.org marching order list after criticizing them on their web page. Yes it is shameful that moveon.org would attack General Petraeus who's really an American hero. These clowns interupt his hearings when all of America should be required to shutup and listen and then make up their own minds up.
Moveon.org is full of hypocrites, while we bombed innocent civilans with cluster bombs and invaded a country that was no threat to us(Kosovo) Moveon.org said nothing. So much for being antiwar. |

Mr. Kristol is the last person in American journalism to be lecturing us on truthfullness, and again gets his commentary on this issue totally wrong. I am the father of an Iraq vet and neither I nor any other military family member I know took offence to the ad, we all support the troops & their families but not the people who sent them to war for oil or the people like Mr. Kristol who continue to lie about the war or it's justification.

Wow! The taxpayers are funding anti-candidate ads. Union dues taken from taxpayer supported individuals is being used to promote candidates who are directly responsible for controlling their incomes and benefits packages. Is this 'buying votes', damn right it is. Nothing new here. The unions (Education MN especially) owns the MN Legislature, violates public trust and controls the elections of the school boards who determine their incomes and benefits. Nothing like controlling both sides of the bargaining table while using even more tax dollars to defame the competition.

Perhaps you would prefer the "nuke 'em" approach if they attacked us again? Yet you undoubtedly support the DFL who loves open borders and diverting mega-billion$ per year for supporting those here illegally. YOU are a hipocrite. There are aspects of the Iraq issue that I don't like, but history has proven the global benefits of democratizing oppressed countries. There were deep ties with al Queda and the Hussien regime that the 'yellow' media has ignored and railed against, including at least one nuke in the U.S. But that's almost beside the point. The issue was WMDs, Middle-East regional and continued threats against the U.S. that would cause a huge inbalance in global stability. And while you complain about warring for oil and drilling in areas sanctioned to or owned by the U.S., you whine about paying $4 a gallon for gas. You'd rather pollute and decimate our ground water of which 1,700 gallons are required to make a single gallon of less efficient ethanol. It was wise to change you movement's name from liberal to progressive as too many citizens were starting to understand that liberal means socialist and socialist means elite class controls over everyone else and death to freedom and personal property. |
