Which is why at least up in the northeast where I grew up you had ethnic neighborhoods. There was safety in numbers. We refer to America as a melting pot because despite that america is made of many cultures, all ethnic groups and races assimilated into the "core" culture. Above all we are Americans. When someone throws the race card in this day in age it means absolutly nothing in my eyes. I hear Mexicans call their own people racists. I consider the source. I hear the Rev Al throw the race card, I roll my eyes. I think people really need to sharpen up on history to really understand the word racism. It has been watered down by misuse. It is very simple. The vast majority of people in this country want border control. I feel it is very appropriate to single out Mexico. 12 million plus Illegal Aliens from Mexico. If calling a Ethnic group of people for accountability is racist then color me guilty. Americans are a special breed.. Mongrels if you will. They believe in Education, hard work and raising themselves up. They are also generous. Look at the world aid we give when someone has their hand out and throws a rock with the other. I don't think Mexicans get it, and when I say that I am not referring to american citizens of mexican descent. I mean Mexicans from Mexico. With America there is a price. And in my opinion it is not a big one to pay. Raise yourself up. Educate yourself. Be a productive citizen. Work hard. Pay taxes. Americans resent lazy people. America isn't the greatest country in the world because we say it is, it is the greatest country because of the blood and sweat of Legal Immigrants who came here and picked up a hammer or a trowel and from the ground up built this country. They taught their children those values. Americans don't like to feel taken advantage of, used, abused and disrespected. When we do, we fight back. When I walk into someones house I do not deficate in their living room. I treat them and their home with respect. If they feed me a meal I say Thank you and I build a positive relationship with them. I don't hide in their closet and raid the fridge when they go to bed. The relationship will never change because the bottom line is they are coming to our house and in our house you play by our rules until you have earned the right to call it you house too. The first step is to knock on our door and ask nicely to come in, not break in the cellar and hide. I think you will find we will welcome you with open arms. Break in and we are gonna kick your ars back to the border. Don't like the rules? Then stay in your drug infested, lawless,oppressive and corrupt country. What a load of BS! The illegal aliens are vital to the American economy? LMAO! That's a hoot! Yeah, we depend on millions of poor uneducated foreigners that can't speak english. They are underpaid and don't have insurance. They don't have a driver's license either. The pro amnesty crowd always uses propaganda and rhetoric to try and force amnesty on the American people. We already know the truth, we've seen it for years. Adopt a ZERO tolerance for illegal immigration. Make it impossible for illegal aliens to reside in this country. I hope everyone can keep in perspective that America is made up of many cultures, diverse, and what it was founded on (Pilgrims Progress). The Statue of Liberty is a testiment to all those who have a dream and come to this great land legally. So remember to show respect for one another. I am opposed to ILLEGAL immigration, but embrace those who want to come in legally, who have skills and knowledge that can add to this land. Especially those great men who have joined the military and fought for our counry even before gaining citizenship. They appreciate the country even more when they do get the privelege, YES, privelege, of becoming a citizen.
I have a great heritage of Irish, English, German, and American Indian. I am married to a "minority", which I hate referring to him as. But he is still serving in the military after 25 plus years of service.
There is nothing wrong with "migrants", it means nomadic, trying to make a living from job to job. We all are immigrants in some sense of the word, when we re-locate from one state to another. And we still feel the dessension between North and South, our own racial biases within the States. So we need to grow up in some aspects and call things the way they are.

"Liberty and Justice for ALL" just for some actually. i think we forget the root of the problem i think we forget the foundation on wich this great country was established and began its sprout. i think we forget what "One nation under God" really means. We forget where and from who the united states was formed i think we give mexico little credit for their failure as a government and from there the existence of what the united states of america is today. but what is it really what is america? it is a country that looks only for personal growth and self glorification. a country that has filled its house with prejudice and hatred and not to only towards illegals but to itself. we have no rights to have this land we claim boundaries with blood and steel yet we forget the history we forget who was here first and whose land americans really took.the truth of the matter is that america is under pocession, but not of the american people but by the hand of opression and the legions of hate that it in itself has spawned.

I am upset that we are not allowed to stand up for our own religion, our own flag, nor our own language. But if we burned a flag in Mexico, we would either be thrown in jail - or worse, never heard from again. We have to be "sensitive" of every one else's rights, but there is no favor returned in our own country while they "visit" or live amongst us. That angers me. I watch on TV as people burn Old Glory in protest and it is illegal to do so. But they have the "right" to freedom of speech! When in Rome, do as the Romans. That means respect the damned culture. If I were to visit a foreign country, I would have to learn their language in order to shop in the market places, otherwise be warned I could be taken advantage of for my lack of learning the language. They would cut me no slack. If I were in Muslim country, I would have to wear a burqa as a female, regardless of my origon, as a rule of the land. But here, we are catering to our newspapers being bi-lingual, English and Spanish. Our street signs, even our phone books! We took down Christmas Trees at Seatac International Airport as it offended a Jew. We buckled. When we stand for nothing, we fall for everything. We can ask for respect and STILL show respect to other cultures, religions, and value. I don't see it happening.
