How cool! I lived in Canton when I was a kid and will definitely make a trip back to the area to visit Chrissie's restaurant. I wish it was all vegan though

We had a very nice dinner even though we could only be seated at the bar (we should have reserved a table in advance). The service was fast and friendly. My (vegi)steak was fairly convincing (and I'm not a veg). If I set aside comparisons to what it was trying to imitate and just judge it based on taste, texture, smell and presentation, it was great. My wife (the veg in our family) had a (vegi)chicken dish and loved it. She enjoyed the sensory pleasures of meat without the death of an animal. The restaurant was just a week old when we visited and the area behind the bar was not as well kept as the rest of the restaurant (storage for staff personal items and a proper cabinet for the audio gear would help). Other wise the space is clean and fresh,(a little warmer than Philippe Starck), and the vibe was cool and up (A&F but more adult).

Amen! Not being a Veggitarian (sp?), I'd like to see the menu before I go for dinner. The reviews i've read are good but i'd like to know more about the restaurant.

Once again, if you're going to be in that neighborhood anyway, go to Luigi's. And get a sausage and pepperoni pizza. Let the veggie whackos eat at Chrissie's.

I'd be afraid to eat any food from this wacko, anti-american b*tch.

"Have we gone to war yet? We f****** deserve to get bombed. Bring it on." -- Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders

"Like fat cats driving around in jeeps through the city,
Wearing big diamond rings and silk suits.
Past corrugated tin shacks holed up with kids and
Man I don't mean a Hampstead nursery."

Give this fat cat a MEAT PIZZA. And bring me extra meat!

now, we should all be soooo thankful to this wonderful person who is obviously much smarter and sophisticated than the average lowly Akronite. It's nice of her to visit her old slum area. I think she should change her name to Lady Bountiful! I read in the Beacon that she plans to actually visit the restaurant occassionally and actually touch the proletarians.

Well, there's no doubt she's a bona fide moron. Her entire career has been built on that tired, phoney, left-wing protest schtick. Think about it; what would a spoiled, rich chick from Firestone High know about real-life anyway?

She certainly shouldn't be treated as an authority on international relations.

Mick, I'm as disgusted as you are by the anti-American, left-wing comments Chrissie sometimes makes, but I disagree that she built her career on it.

I was a Pretenders fan back in 1980 and Chrissie is one of the greatest songwriters and singers of that era. Her talent for music is solid. Her political thoughts are as whacked as can be.

So, I need "toget edfucated and poen up my small mind"? Okay, I THINK I might know what you mean.

My problem is not with vegetable dishes, which I'm sure some excellent chefs prepare. My problem is with the AGENDA of the militant vegetarians out there. You know EXACTLY what I mean.
