Health insurance, 401(K) and other perks are fine and dandy, but if they really want to stop the huge investment involved in job turnover, they should consider that the living wage here locally is about $11 an hour. If the base pay is decent, turnover will decline dramatically. But as long as they are paying barely above minimum wage, not even teenagers will want to work there - much less adults with real bills and expenses to worry about.

I guess you're just too expensive to work there then. I'm only working there part-time and I'm making a living for myself, so your idea that they should pay $11 an hour is bogus. That is, unless our customers want to pay $12.50 for their Big Mac Meal.

i think that company can do little more few steps to decrease the attrition.
They can introduce some type of bonus or arrange some games, make the employee free proud in front of others by appreciating them. they can also introduce some surprise gift for the employees who does a great job.

We already do that...

It's up to the Store Manager and Managers to make the crew have the best possible time while on shift.

Do we really ALL do that though...I think that you are taking this much too personally Unknown27..I dont think anyone is personally attacking your store..I for one would love to work in your store..lol..I think you sound like someone who is commited to their job and truly enjoys it...That is fantastic and I am very pleased for you that you work in a store were you are able to maintain the standards that mcdonalds has set...If every Mcds worked the way they set it up it would be a fantastic experience to work and eat there...Unfortunately there are alot of franchisees who try but fail to meet the standards Mcds sets...I had a very hard time at my store getting crew incentives going although we were given a set amount not including our crew of the month awards...There are always going to be RM's who don't care about their job and it is extremely difficult to overcome that as a crew person or manager really...
