Carson borders Comptom, one of the highest murder cities in the nation. All crime stats shows that Carson has a much higher crime rate than Torrance or RB. You also forget to mention West Torrance and Rancho Seaside areas of Torrance which is superior to anything that Carson has to offer. Lets not even get started about the school system. Carson's stinks. Your right not to many police or fireman live in Torrance or RB. They reason why is, they cannot afford it. I hear public safety employees in Torrance in RB complaining that they have to live in places in Carson. I'm sure they may be some lawyers living in Carson. But the successful ones live in Torrance and RB. Instead of nurses for neighbors, we have doctors, CEO's and successful business owners. Carson also led the South Bay with the most foreclosures. Sounds like a lot of outstanding citizens living in Carson who cannot even keep their homes. If you look at home prices as of today, it will cost you twice as much to buy a home in Torrance than in Carson. By the way, I only have 3 years left on my 1.5 million dollar home. <quoted text>
It's proximity to Compton gives Carson a cultural flair and prevents it from being ordinary, boring and typical.

Dougie, buddy... you got it wrong! Successful lawyers and doctors don't live in Torrance/RB or Carson for that matter... they live in Palos Verdes or Rolling Hills. That's right... that hill you constantly have to stare up to.

Excuse me while I order myself a chai tea. Isn't the new Panera in Carson beautiful? Better than the one you guys have on Crenshaw. But at least you got a Corner Bakery!!! LUCKY!

bro, you need a better comeback than that. you started well but have sadly become like most others who can bang out mindless thoughts and child-like opinions behind a computer without any real information or engaging arguments to offer. i gather you'd have absolutely nothing to offer face to face.

this was mildly interesting for a while but i've tired of your drivel. i'm done. many, many more things to do in life than trade actual thoughts (one-sided they may be) with someone whose lack of intelligence reveals itself more with each thread.

yawn.

A good friend of my who is a contractor, who deals in high end homes has built many homes for Doctors and Lawyers, who live in Torrance and RB. He also has built them in PV. He showed me one that he was doning last year in the Rancho Seaside area of Torrance. Do a seach on Yahoo real estate, Carson has only two homes priced in the $600,000, everything else averages around $300,000. Torrance and RB both have muti million dollar homes listed, which are owned by Doctors and Lawyers. Funny how you think having Panera Bread is a big thing. Yes I do enjoy the Panera Bread at the Torrance Town Center on PCH, where I don't have to worry about the gang bangers of Compton and Carson. You know who else enjoys it? People from the hill, Torrance, RB, HB, and MB. A great place to have lunch before our massgae at Burke Willians Day Spa. When my wife and I are done with the spa, we than like to go to wine styles next door for an expensive bottle of wine to take home to RB. Carson is not high end eoungh to support these types of businesses. Do you guys even have a Trader Joes or Whole Foods? Torrance and RB has both. I checked you don't. You guys in Carson pretty much live on fast food. You probably think Chilies is high end.

Sarcasm buddy. You people tend to measure wealth and success on chain stores, etc.

1. Burke Williams
2. Trader Joe's
3. Chilli's

Care to name to name more? This makes me skeptical. I don't think you are from Redondo after all. People from RB tend to be a little bit more bourgeoisie and wouldn't have dared to name those commoner chains!!! It's all about private, locally owned businesses bro! Dude you are being so not gnarly. Grody even!

You know who frequents the Torrance Towne Center as well? People from Wilmington. Don't be scared! I would be though! Those Mexicans you see at the 24 Hour Fitness, Tilly's, AMC, Kohls, Michael's, etc. Where do you think they are coming from? And don't be silly nobody from Manhattan Beach goes all the way down there.

I guess Wilmington is closer to the ocean than Carson, so you are cool with that!

Just can't wait to get up in the morning to read all the uneducated crap that is espoused by the juvenile minds of some of the South Bay's most ridiculous excuses for good citizens and neighbors. You people should have your own show on t.v. It should be called "The Minds of the Mindless"!!!! Carry on, "JOKERS".

I did not realize people from Willington drove Jags, BMWs, Mercedes, Bentlys, and many other luxury cars you will see at Torrance Town Center. I am sure some of good people of Wilmington will come over where they feel safe. The low lifes of Wilmington will go to Carson where they blend in. It seems intersting that you seem to know who who shops at these stores. Either you shop there yourself or your a liar. I pick liar. Sorry people from MB do go to Burke Williams. You know where else my wife and I like to eat- The Chart House in RB which is a chain, The Depot in Torrance a high end restaurant and Jerrys Deli. We also discovered Hillside village in Torrance with some very good private resturants. I would prefer not to mention the names, so people like you won't show up, even though you probaly could not afford it. There are many private restaurants in Torrance and RB that don't have to advertise, because the high end people know where they are at and that is the way we want to keep it.

I believe that using the observed cosmic expansion conjunctively with the general theory of relativity, we can infer from the data that the further back into time one looks, the universe ought to diminish in size accordingly. However, this cannot be extrapolated indefinitely. The universe’s expansion helps us to appreciate the direction in which time flows. This is referred to as the Cosmological arrow of time, and implies that the future is -- by definition -- the direction towards which the universe increases in size. The expansion of the universe also gives rise to the second law of thermodynamics, which states that the overall entropy (or disorder) in the Universe can only increase with time because the amount of energy available for work deteriorates with time. If the universe was eternal, therefore, the amount of usable energy available for work would have already been exhausted. Hence it follows that at one point the entropy value was at absolute 0 (most ordered state at the moment of creation) and the entropy has been increasing ever since -- that is, the universe at one point was fully “wound up” and has been winding down ever since. This has profound theological implications, for it shows that time itself is necessarily finite. If the universe were eternal, the thermal energy in the universe would have been evenly distributed throughout the cosmos, leaving each region of the cosmos at uniform temperature (at very close to absolute 0), rendering no further work possible.

But yet, the best area of Carson homes are still less than north Torrance. You can color it any way you want, Carson is no Torrance and never will be. I hope you had enough money to send your kids to private school. Carson is no place to send your kid to public school.<quoted text>
My uncle just bought at house near the csu school hear in Carson. It was a 3 bed/3 bath in university heights. The cost of the home was 595,000. Carson borders torrance to the west. Many homes in north torrance go for around the same rates as many of the homes in the nice parts of Carson. However, central and south Torrance are much more expensive to buy homes than north Torrance or Carson. However, Carson is a decent city. Hopefully fred Sands will improve this mall tremendously. Also csudh is in Carson and is a pretty good school serving people from south bay and other areas. Many people now flock to Carson's home depot center for its soccer games with David Beckham and the different concert that take place in the stadium from bands like Coldplay. Your ignorance about Carson is amazing.

Carson may have long noses, but so do some in Torrance, Redondo or an other city for that matter.
