Let Increase In Real Estate Nuisance Tax Expire

The increase to this shameless nuisance tax on real estate sales was supposed to be a temporary fix in 2003 - a brief uptick to deal with a budget downturn.

The special session is for this anti-business legislature to explore raising this tax's rate and rename it. It will become the Exit Tax targetting the droves of people leaving CT seeking employment.

Way to go Stan! Thank you for summing it up. This tax particularly hits the seniors hard who are more likely to be downsizing.

GREAT ARTICLE STAN!
WITH CONNECTICUT SECOND ONLY TO ALASKA IN GAS PRICE, THE STATE IS INCREASING THE TAX ON
GAS EFFECTIVE JULY 1. THE CONVEYANCE TAX IS
JUST ANOTHER BRICK ON THE WHEELBARROW. IT'S
OBVIOUS NO ONE CARES THAT YOUNG PEOPLE ARE
LEAVING CONNECTICUT AT RECORD RATES. VIOLENCE IS ON THE INCREASE IN OUR CITIES.
SO, LET'S RE-ELECT THE SAME FOLKS!!
