Zoolon, Zulon, or Xulon Press - Spell it However You Want, Pay Up, and Get Less

They sound so good up front but all of these questions I have are foresight before I pay them instead of hindsight and being swindled by them!

Precious One, I wish to God we ALL had of known Xulon Press' deception! I am sick to my guts inside, because I initially paid for the BestSeller package of a whopping $2,300.00! It was exactly 12 months later I received $30. and some change from Salem Communications.

The Book The Holy Spirit and I wrote, was straight from God's mouth to the world! There are 50 plus websites who have this book online. Harvard University, Barnes and Nobles, and many other renouned book sellers. Yet all the royalties I got from Xulon Press was a measely $30. plus change.

$75% of the proceeds of my royalties of this book God Titled, THE LAST CALL-The Spirit and The Bride say, "COME!" Was to go towards buying land and establishing it for others besides myself to live on, when things got bad and people lost their homes, and had no where to live! You can imagine my brokenness! I live to help others! That is my sole purpose in life!

I had to fight with Xulon Press to put The Holy Spirit first and then me as co author of this book! You would think God and Jesus Christ's Spirit would be somewhere in that establishment being how they proclaim Christian faith!

I wonder though if all of us can get together via emails or websites and sue them without lawyers. I had a Prepaid Law firm writing letters to them. But evidently, I am a total sucker, because they won't actually sue them for me, because they say I have to hire lawyers in Florida and go there myself. I live in California and work full time... impossible. I am planing to call my local Christian radio channels to see if they could remove their advertisements.

Riccie, I have all me emails from Xulon Press and all their mailings, etc. But I have no clue how to do a class action. I put all my initial dealings and to present with Xulon Press on a SanDisk USB Storage Devise, but all the emails they sent me AND the Author Link I have all of their Replies also, but they were very evasive to answering simple direct questions. It was almost like an automated duplication sent to me as an Author, from Xulon Press. It's insanity! They burned me badly. I am Disabled, and the book The Holy Spirit and I wrote was my Obedience to God and Jesus Christ, and Warning the world, what is happening now, is HERE! And how to survive through it!

Yes, I keep getting "form" letters from them in reply to my very specific questions. It's very frustrating.

Does anyone know of any Honest, Fair, and Integrious Business to sell our books directly through Mail Order, where people can purchase our books directly from us? I think it is insane for Xulon Press to charge us as Authors $10.99 per book to them, because we don't have the money to buy over 100 books from them to get a discount like the retailers get! Any suggestions are appreciated!

Thank you so-o-o-o much for responding to my email! I have been waiting(since March). God bless you and all of us who have been victimized by these NON-"Christ-like" people. EVERYTHING happens for a reason and I can hardly wait to see how God reveals Himself through "our" experience with xulon press.(I intentionally used lower case letters(xulon press) because capital letters indicate "proper name" and there is nothing "Proper" with xulon. I encourage everyone who have been victimized by xulon to "stay on top of things". The bible is very clear when it says that"...ALL things worketh together for the good of them that love the Lord...", I trust God and believe that "...what the enemy meant for evil God make it good...". It is quite evident who the enemy is in "our" situation. We ALL must come together and "DEFEAT" him/them...because there is STRENGTH in numbers!!! Hope to here from you all...soon...and frequently!!! ALL I CAN SAY IS AMEN! TO EVERY WORD YOU SPOKE! Remember the verses in The Holy Bible, where Jesus Himself spoke, not every one who says, Lord! Lord! shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven! This Company would be very wise to examine their individual heart and soul and Spirit, to see if they want to be involved, working for such a Company as Xulon Press and Salem Communications.

When I was able to work a Public Job. There were a variety of nationality people working there. I no problem with that at all. But when a co-worker continually cursed Jesus out loud in front of all of us employees. She was cursing Jesus to "F" her upside and down the other! Hearing her saying this, pierced through my heart and Spirit so bad. I reported her to the bosses. They warned her. This happened on 3 different occassions. Do you know I quit my job all 3 times, because this female would not STOP cursing Jesus Christ and it affected my ability to work in that kind of environment. I was a very valued worker and the bosses knew my Spiritual Stand! So they put in Security Cameras with Audio.

Well by the 3rd time I had quit work, because of this girl, and I was not planning on going back. Although I dearly loved my job duties.

Next thing I know. The boss calls me on the phone, while I was at home, and had quit. He told me, "Jeannie, are you busy?" "No, just resting," I said.

My Boss said, "Can you get dressed and come back to work? We fired that girl you were having problems with, and we caught it on tape and audio." "She cursed out the Partner of our business!" "Now, Jeannie, if you want to accept my proposal, You can now have her job and your own!"

There are good people at Xulon but...during the publishing/type setting stage your dealings with your representative may lead you to want to shoot yourself in the head. I called over and over and rarely got to talk to anyone other than the receptionist. I left voicemails and didn't receive callbacks. I sent emails and I would not get a reply for 4 to 5 business days. I would ask them to do something simple that they could probably do right on the spot and they would get around to doing it 4 days later. Do not expect any hand holding or any quick turnaround with this company. When you finally do make contact with them to make a change, etc., you are then cast back into a bottomless queue. The lack of care and the lack of communication is a blatant lack of service in my opinion. I would not recommend this publisher to anyone, especially a Christian brother or sister. Also, they milked me for every dollar they could get out of me for changes. My dealings with them revealed to me that they're more interested in money than they are in the nature of the material they eventually get around to publishing. I hate to say it but, I think there would have been just as much a "Christian" experience with a non-Christian publisher. I am actually very concerned for the Christian folks that have been led astray by the ads on Christian radio leading them to believe they will be carried through the publishing process and taken care of by a "Christian" publisher. I'm sorry to say that they may ultimately find great frustration as I have during this extremely non-personal process. I am going to see how my final interaction goes with Xulon and if it comes off again as intentional delays and overcharges I will feel obligated to write and call the Christian radio station here in L.A. and express my concerns over them advertising for Xulon.

Joe, I did Post a valid complaint on the Salem Communication/Radio Station Forum under Business. They censored it and would not publish my post on their Business Forum, where one could write comments, etc.

Thanks a million guys. I was about to pay almost $1900 with these supposedly "xxxxxx" publishers. Since I cannot use them can anyone suggest the best way of self-publishing to me please?

Nana, I am looking into that myself. It would be wise when we do find other publishers, to cross check their business practices with the Better Business Bureau in Longwood, FL since Xulon Press is located in Longwood, FL.

I just recently told Xulon Press to pull my books off the shelves of those who bought them to sell, because since I wasn't getting any royalties for over 1 year. No one on their end was going to profit off my hard work of 18 years to finish The Holy Spirit and my book.
I am waiting for them to tell me, if they can do this or not, and if books or sold after I told them I decline from using them anymore, would I get royalties from the stores who bought and sold them. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Oops, I mean where ever we look to find another publisher. Depending on which state they are in, check in that state's Better Business Bureau beforehand, to see that publishers' track record.

I have some interest for my book from a major publisher, but it's very expensive, so was thinking about going w/Xulon at first, but glad I did some research! Thanks for all your comments and advise to others. Sorry about all your situations, but I'm thankful you're watching out for others while your justice is on the way.

REAL CHRISTIANS DO LOOK OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER! There sure isn't any justice in America anymore!
I understood from reading some of the other Publisher's information, there should not be any charges for your book. What I have read, you send them your manuscripts, if they like it. They Publish and Promote and Advertise, that is how they make their money on books.

Oops, but the Author gets royalties also, even some of front money from the Publisher if they like your book. That is what I read, unless those Publishers a liar!

I am so glad I read these before I pursued them as my publisher. I actually turned down a contract with a traditional publisher due to the low percentage offered and the fact that they were wanting all rights to my story. I was considering Xulon (among others); however, I am now reconsidering.
