I am honored to say that on May 2,1999 James E. Clyburn was the President of the CBC He was the guest speaker for Civil Rights Remembrance Day in Orangeburg, south Carolina. I was honoerd that he took the time to attend this historic occasion. This was the second commemoration. It payed homage to local civil rights heroes of the movement. Clyburn was also involved in the Orangeburg Civil Rights Movement. The CBC has been a leading force in the black community.Thanks. Rosa Mavins Bogar

This is Women's History Month I am a Black Fashion Designer. I know how fashion defines a person, and I know that fads are to last, but quickly pass. So, we have a big problem."mr.saggin" has created a big Stink all over the country! We need to come together and have a national march to help dispel this trend. It hurts my heart when I see no Smiles on the faces that's often covered with hoods.I see invisible shackles,it's like voluntary slavery. I have been speaking about this concern for awhile now. I have a plan.Contact Me! this is Urgent! Rosa Bogar."We all will pay if we continue to ignore.

The 150 years of the Civil War will to recognized all over the nation in the coming years. I have been sharing for years of a marker in the communituy where I grew up about this marker that has the date 1861 on it and is related to slavery and the Civil War.We played on this marker in our community as children growing up.What concerns me the most is that this community is still all African Americans,I often wondrred maybe homes should not have been built on this historic property!Truly this Civil War marker is one to yet be reckoned with!!!

I am happy to share that "Black Fashion History Day" was proclaimed by governor Mark Dayton in state of Minnesota on Oct.21st 2012. This long overdue recognition was celebrated at the Capri Theater in North Minneapolis. Look up some of the articles. Much yet to be shared about these groundbreaking black fashion shows from the 70's through the 90's. If there's an intreat please contact me. Thanks, Rosa Bogar rosabogar@yahoo.com
