Not to mention police officers woke people up from their cars and tents with guns pointed, dragged kids out of tents by their ankles, ransacked and made a complete mess out of the property owner's home (members of this horse farm family were forced to the ground in handcuffs despite not having anything illegal on them), stole people's money without cause, claiming it all must have been "from drug distribution," made everyone (including myself, 9 months pregnant visiting the event completely sober) stand for hours in a field in the sun, surrounded by guns, not allowing us to retrieve food, water, or go to the bathroom (which in my case was TERRIBLE to go through). And the ENTIRE time this happened, while we were degraded and treated like criminals and animals, not one person at the event put up a fight or was hostile to the cops. Congratulations Culpeper county on your great bust.

I haven't read a single comment complaining about being caught with drugs. Everything I've heard is about being mistreated while innocent, people who had their prescriptions taken from them, vendors who had money taken from them even when they were not caught with illegal drugs, CLEAN pipes were taken from vedors, being dragged out of tents with no warning, some at gun point, and no reports of resistance? I could care less about the drug bust, people were doing something illegal and got caught, sucks for them, but they had absolutely no reason to treat people the way they did.

Its the right of the property owner to deny entery by law enforcement i wish the news would talk about how they came to the party on friday when they blew passed a cattle gate n which they needed a warrent to pass and there was not a thousand people there the accounts have been grossly misleading and false

This is good p.r. for the culpeper county police force after the wrongfull death of patricha cook after she was shot 9times by a overly aggressive police officer. The culpeper county police force is looking for good p.r. also because its police force is being looked into by internal investigations for illegal searchs and or highly agressive officers that have been cited publically and by there own dept. Only these issues have been made public by the wrongfull death of a innocent and law abiding 50 year old lady who was shot down in broad daylight n a church parking lot!

Great work!
@christian patch, a there are legal circumstances in which a search warrant is not necessary. Reasonable Suspicion and Probable Cause are still sufficient reason to look further.
Selling bongs while the aroma of pot is in the air would be reasonable suspicion in any reasonable person's mind. Even to a common person on the street like me, this passes the smell test because the people detained didn't pass the smell test.
