I think this is a mistake for Suppelsa and WGN.

Will we be receiving the new newscast on the superstation, or is this just local in the Windy City?

Shame that Sanders is being pushed aside. I always liked him. Having formerly lived in Chicago, I do not see how Suppelsa is in any way an improvement over Steve Sanders. But, we'll give him a chance.

This guy is so arrogant - he's gotten many great people (i.e. Barry Keefe) fired or removed due to his quest for anchor power.

His news coverage on 101.9 is a joke, especially after listening to his intro that states this guy is pressing the boundries on responsible, original news casting lol.

Sanders says the expanded format in the midday gives them more time to cover issues. That is a joke. There is not going to be more coverage, by the I mean actual real in depth reporting, it will continue to be the same crapola that masquerades as news.

Am I the only one who thinks Allison Payne looks unwell? I know she had some stroke problems and was treated, but she does not look healthy.

I've thought there was something different about her; thought maybe she had some cosmetic work done or something...

WGN repeats the same boring stories dozens of times throughout the day. Poor Larry Potash is more worried about being on his laptop than reading the news and can barely free himself from it long enough to read the teleprompter. He also looks like he's near a coma every morning ready to fall asleep at any moment. This is the position Mark should have gotten.

Someone is also always typing during the morning news. Can always hear an annoying tapping sound on someone's keyboard while the other clowns are attempting to read a teleprompter.

Mark Suppelsa is a classy guy and an Evanstonian. The Suppelsas are low-key folk who are active in the community, and live in a regular home on a regular block.

If you saw Mark in person on the street in Evanston, you would barely recognize him as the made up and well-lit newscaster he is on TV.

I guess it's time to find a new news station. Sander is excelent and Suppelsa doesn't do a thing for me. Maybe Sanders will move to Fox and be better than WGN.

I don't like the way Suppelsa pauses and seems to misread the news on the Mix. Hopefully, that will be cleaned up when he joins WGN.

TV news is a joke. Suppelsa cannot read. Listening to him stammer and break sentences in odd places on the Mix is painful.

I hope this works out for him. He's running out of stations to work for in Chicago.

that suppelsa replaced jacobson on 32 and now sanders on 9. i dont get the googoogaga on this guy. all he does is crack stale jokes after every story. he thinks hes quickwitted but hes very annoying. and with the expanded news at midday the only thing expanded is the commercials. who wants to watch an hour and a half of news in the midday. give me andy griffith reruns anyday. suppelsa is nothing but a waste of money.

I wish he had gone to Channel 2. He would be better than Diane Burns and with Rob Johnson, a better news team. They need him more than Channel 9. As matter, more people may even go back into watching Channel 2 news.

Then again, he didn't want to take a chance of being fired like Diane Burns and Mary Ann Childers.

The Channel 9 news is fine as it is. If they want a new person for the 9:00 pm news, why didn't they promote someone within the station?
