FCC moves to reserve free wireless waves

The Federal Communications Commission says it will move forward with plans to reserve valuable empty U.S. airwave spectrum for free wireless Internet use.

The only reason for any opposition to free wireless web service is that; low income subcribers would need a computor, need money to buy a computor,obviosly going through hard times or on wellfare with no "desire" to work. To enable low income people the capablity to engage in the internet free of charge is a dis-service to all those who pay for service. I say if you are going to do it for one group of people you must do it for all people (hence the people of america who are paying taxes would have to foot that bill too)!

Don't some consumer advocates favor Chairman Martin's position? In any case, including the consumer viewpoint would have strengthened this article.
