Holocaust Avoidance. British schools are jettisoning lessons to keep Muslims happy.

Radical Muslems are responsible for millions of deaths, tortures, and fear around the whole world and people are actually complaining about this?? If you do something bad, you are to be held accountable.

When do we stop trying to be nice to people who are evil?

I looked at the DVD for a few seconds and threw the nasty thing in the trash. Pure hate.

No one group has a monopoly on terrorism. Our hands are far from clean.

Well, the Muslim extremists have established overwhelming market share. Your point is that if we aren't perfect that we cannot oppose their terrorism. Nonsense.

Spot on! Not having lived in NYC for quite some time now, imagine my surprise at finding that DVD in my mailbox last week. Apparently Fox is promoting it, which is even more a surprise that they'd send it to me. I don't even watch Fox News.

That is not my point at all. But perhaps we should not be killing women and children in Iraq. We have killed many innocent people there - at least in the 10s of thousands. We should look at our own actions is my point.

We wouldn't be there if it weren't for oil. Our bases in Saudi Arabia was the stated primary reason for the 9/11 attacks. We were in their holy land. They don't "hate us for our feedom" as the adm would have you believe. That's pure crap.

Perhaps YOU should consider how many we saved from the (literally) rapacious Saddam regime.

Why resort to the name calling? It's one thing to be a realist and address the good & the bad about our governments activities. However, in your case, you appear to be in denial.

There were at least 40 other brutal dictatorships in the world at the time we invaded and occupied Iraq - but why Iraq?- yes, oil. And Saddam has been gone for a long time - but we are still there - and the Iraqi government wants us out.

Yes they also attacked us for our support of Israel and our general arrogance around the world but esp in THEIR part of the world. I don't think they would have minded our gambling etc if we were leaving them alone. Let's be real.

Say, where can I get that DVD? I'm heading back to London in a couple of weeks. Every American should be forced to walk through London's imported Muslim slum. Then let's see how much kumbaya they're feeling. Muslim immigration to the U.S. would be stopped in about 15 minutes after their return.

There is no question we intervened in Iraq because of Saddam's threat to our access to oil. No question at all. I believe Dick Cheney acknowledged that publicly.

And the "party line" from the White House when we were considering the invasion of Iraq was that we wold win the war, epose Saddam, establish a democratic government, and use the increased oil flow to pay for our costs, as well as stabilize the price.

We also believed that Iraq was dangerous to us. This point had been made by the Clinton administration and formally acknowledged by Congress in 1998.

<< the Iraqi government wants us out. >>

Bull. Maliki has been playing politics with that. If he meant it, we would be gone.

Unfortunately for them, we aren't going anywhere. They want isolation from us to prevent us from contaminating them. Can't happen.

Your points have strong merrits... WE ARE NOT THERE KILLING thousands of woman and children.
Just look at the trouble Haditha caused...Do you really believe we could kill like that and not have ALL the Arabs against us?

Yes, we were there in there Holy Land - at the invite of Saudi, Guitar, and like countries because Saddam invaded Kuwait. The Arabs didn't trust Bin Laden to wage war against Iraq and win.
The first time we all kicked Saddam's ass together and never finished the job.

But the hatred goes back to he overthrow of the Shah of Iran (Carter admin - forgot the year).
Since then we had:
1.The Iranian Hostage Crisis 11-4-79,
2.U.S. Marine Barracks Beruit 4-18-83,
3.TWA flight 847 Hijacking Athens 6-24-85,
4.Achillies Lauro Hijacking Egypt 10-07-85,
5.Pan Am Flight 103 Lockerbie Scotland 12-21-88
6.WTC bombing NYC 2-26-93,
7.Khobar Towers Saudia Arabia 6-25-96,
8.US Embassies Tnaznia and Kenya 8-7-98
9.USS Cole bombing Yemen 10-17-00,
10.WTC - NYC, Penagon... 9-11-01
(I may have missed one or two majors.. not counting maybe some small stuff......)

Again, I agree... That is so old - killing women and childen - it stinks!!

They hate us because we don't worship the way they do. They hate us because we befreind the Jews.
The name calling... I hate it, I sometimes do it myself... IN THIS CASE... JUSTIFIED... that comment was ....aahhhh... ignorant.... making the writer uhhhh....:-))

In denial? He's is someone who does not have an abiding hate for eveything American except living here, as people of your stripe appear to be.What good things can you say about this country which does not affect your own personal comfort. Very little I would guess.

Invasion of Kuwait... non completion of the original job...
Saddam has been gone for a long time... but if we pull out they will be taken over by Iran. Yeah, oil will be part of it... but if you look at the Killing fields of 'nam and Cambodia... Iraq would go through the same thing.... damned if we leave... damned if we don't.
As far as Iraels goes - I'd back up my freinds any time - any day....
