It is unfortunate that these men decided to take this company the way they did because being the very shrewd and capable businessmen, that they are, they would have been successful irregardless. I feel for the family and I know they are good people even if what they did is wrong. In life, everything come around and the easy way is seldom easy. It also saddens me that these scams put us cubans in miami in a bad light and group us all as the same. The majority of cubans are good hardworking people, although I agree that there are many who are thieves as well as of other nationalities. Cuban immigrants, and I say this as one, have gotten a free pass for far to long. It is time they are treated as any other immigrant coming in to the states. The time of political asylum is OVER it is now a matter of economics. At the end of the day we need to vote for better people to represent us and clean up this town.

I do agree that it is unfortunate for the brothers to have gone this route, but they have stepped on many people on their climb to the top. They both carried themselves in a fashion that made them appear like they were the best people in the world....but appearfances are deceiving.

This is to the previous comment posted from "ex employee". Why would you say that this gives cubans a bad name and then go on to say that cubans have it easy in this country? This does give our community a bad name but it does not say that we are bad people. Daily true red blooded americans are accused of the same crime and worst. This poor business practice affects everyone and is commited by all. Cubans as a general population come to this country to improve their status and make a home for their families. One bad apple does not ruin the bunch!!! Being a cuban like you state you are I dont ubderstand why you have this feeling about the way we as a people are treated in this country!!!!

"One" bad apple? Wake-up bro!!!!! Do you read the news paper? Watch the news? How long have you been living in Miami? Have you asked yourself why the high middle class Cubans were thrown out of Cuba first?, and why we're still in the US? We don't know how to govern ourselves without robbing the country! We requested the US to give us our independence, the US did, and we went right to work- Grau, Machado, Batista, and Castro. We are very clever (somos unos bichos), EQUIVOCADOS!!!!! We would be in our Cuba if we would have let the US protect us, as Puerto Rico. We are a buch of glorified assholes and I'm ashamed of it.
