The story is about reminding ex-cons they can vote, note giving the vote to inmates. Its apparent that some of you "enlightened" citizens don't know the difference, and if you don't then maybe YOU shouldn't be allowed to vote either.

Read the story again Jango, people in jail currently and those convicted of misdemeanors
and are also in jail can vote, not just excons.

You're absolutely right, my apologies. It clearly states "accused of serious crimes." So we're not talking about convicts, the convicted, but rather citizens awaiting to be convicted. They should have the right to send in mail-in ballots.

I think it would be a dangerous step towards totalitarianism if we prevented citizens accused of a crime, but not convicted, from voting. Misreading the article doesn't help my credibility, but that's my opinion.

Thanks FT.

The article was a little confusing.
I was a little unsure myself about who could vote and who could not.

Inmates are human too... Just because they made a mistake don't mean they should be striped of their rights and also they are already paying their debt to socioty. Do you think they don't work in prison?

It's fitting ex-cons can vote since most politicians are the biggest criminals.
