WOW Another Malloy Mess for Stamford. Nice Job Danny Boy. Antares probably went bust padding Danny Boys pockets. Just another reason Stamford will only begin to heal once we cut the Malloy cancer loose..

As a FORMER employee, i can tell you that about 85% of this is true. The spending accounts, the life of riley, and the never seeming to end stream of money was all visible and flaunted for that matter. Where my rank was in the company was below that spoken of by Matt Allen, but as I knew him well, his ideas and fears were that of many of us. The Antares of 2003 with 7 people had turned into a monster by 2007, and with myself seeing financials on their construction projects, both residential and commercial, I decided to resign before the boat took on ANY water. It was amazing that their personal houses had bank notes on them for 8.5mm but would up costing 14.5mm and 13.1mm each. The real interesting part is that this money, which was hard to find at the time, all of a sudden came flushing in once the condo project took off. I knew the men in the field and the people watching the books, and they couldn't figure out why their bank draw was for 1.1mm in costs and they only recieved 250k. Webster defines a pathological liar as someone who believes their own lies, the real sad part is that what some have written here, is that Jimmy was the conservative guy - who paid for his house with HIS OWN MONEY from his dealings prior to Antares, and JB plundered his money on cars, trips, jewels, black Amex, and his house which had everything...but class...

It could not have happened to nicer guys. What they did at Putnam Green and Weavers Hill tenants should happen to them lose their homes.

oh, one more thing I hope they end up behind bars where they both belong before they hurt more people.

They are evil

They deserve nothing less.

HP is a Joke wrote:
The entire South End project is a total joke at this point. It's way too long and construction financing is impossible to line-up. There are two empty office buildings (that won't get leased any time soon at the rents needed for ownership to break even), a high-rise apartment building going up (no demand for that product any time soon) and two crappy loft apartment conversions underway. The investors in that project will all experience a total flush of their equity and some vulture will swoop in and pick the project up for pennies on the dollar within the next 18 months.
Despite Publius' confidence in B&LT's ability to perform, I am inclined to agree with your observations. It looks like Fairway may be the only quickly realized goal - a flower in a field of weeds.

If you re-read my comments carefully, you may not see as much "confidence" as you think there is.

I've been in the Antares office and also dealt with JB and group back at Greenwich Partners. Calabra wasn't exactly conservative in his spending, he had an H1 Hummer before Antares went gang busters.
JB would yell at people to you name it......but he could sell soap to a slug. The amount of money they raised and managed to waste is amazing, but those that lost that cash have no one to blame but themselves.
While what they managed to do disgusts me in some ways, you have to be impressed with the shear size of the mess they created. At this point they are still living in mansions in Greenwich, so feeling sorry for them isn't in my list of things to do.

I went to Byram Hills High School with Joe and his sister, Lisa. Joe had a huge ego and a small brain. All he cared about back then was his hair and his designer jeans. Not surprised by any of this.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
