Of course he has free speech. And in our great nation, governed by a free market, we all have the right to take our business elsewhere when we find said speech loathsome.
He can say whatever he wants, but there are consequences, and in this case, they are well-deserved. Public racism is unacceptable, period, and I thank Holsum for their principled stand.

I am so sorry for what has happened here. Freedom of speech has never been so blindsided. His opinion about an art project that is at a major intersection is totally his and bears no significance on his livelihood.
I still stand by him. Don't think he's racist at all and that Holsum has done this undeservidly.

Steve Blair had his Holsum distributor business up for sale for over a year. When this incident took place, they bought him out for a fair price. talk about turning lemons into lemonade. He is no victim as he spoke out about his perspective for two months in an attempt to remove the free speech of the school. It didn't work and backlashed on him. Sad thing is that he was never reprimanded by the city council or punished in any way. He lost his time slot on the radio and they gave him another one within two weeks. Talk about friends in low places.
