What you have not heard about the Keystone Pipeline

Full story: www.businessinsider.com

Opposition in Nebraska was across party line from conservative farmers to liberal environmentalists

If you believe all the stories about the Keystone XL Pipeline , you would think it is the standard battle between oil interests and environmentalists.

It ignores the reality that there was substantial opposition in Nebraska, a Republican state because the pipeline would run through an aquifer and a spill would endanger drinking water and water needed for farming. The state’s Republican Governor said he would only support the permit if the pipeline was rerouted.

Now government cares about the water supply? I raise the BS flag on that one. Here in Seminole County would water is already injected with Flouride and Chlorine. And now they are talking of adding Ammonia as well. They even went as far as to have a guy on from UCF that said "Ammonia in small doses is good for the human body".

I kid you not, he said that. Hence why I got a water bottle from Zepheryhills Spring Water pulled from Florida aquifers.

Obama prefers to protect things like Libyan oil. Most Libyan oil goes to Europe anyways.

Meanwhile, Canada, the friendly neighbor to the north, would like to do more oil business with the US but Obama doesn't want it.

President Urkel Odumba for sure.

I have mixed feelings. On one hand the Alaska pipeline was built in a harsh environment and in an earthquake zone but has experienced few environmental problems. The Keystone pipeline will be built in a temperate climate in an area not known for frequent earthquakes. If it can be done safely and the oil will stay in the US then they should build it.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
