If you, yes, YOU! want to have electricity available whenever you want any, then you must approve of sufficient electricity generating stations to be built that will replace the current aging ones as soon as possible.

12:17 pm Monday, September 14th, 2009:
Thanks for the Agenda's agenda coming up. I'll have a look/listen to it.
..... I am reminded of the end of the 1980s, yes that long ago, when Ontario Hydro published for free distribution a 4-volume study with lots of information on what will be needed during the next 35(?) years. Apparently nothing was done about the recommendations.

QUITTNER Toronto, Canada #60 Jul 20, 2009
12:58 am, Monday July 20, 2009:
That there is excess electricity generating capacity right now is irrelevant, because of the long time delay before the needed power generating stations will actually get on line. Once the economy is back to near-normal then the electricity need will again keep increasing, while existing electric power generating stations will stop working because of old age. There must ALWAYS be more available capacity, including at peak usage times, than is being used.

QUITTNER did NOT write (see above):
12:58 am, Monday July 20, 2009:
wrote even more stupidnes
one wonders if you copy and paste this stuff directlt from OPG, you know the gang that helped with the summer power outage 2 or 3 summers ago.
--------
And a new post coming up:
11:30 am, Friday, October 2, 2009:
That summer power outage on August 14th originated/was caused by a problem in the USA (Ohio?), but because we are interconnected with their electricity grid we too suffered.
