If you want to finance a single wide, you'll have to go to a typical bank. Interest rates might be slightly higher. Not very much internet lenders are interested in single wides and view them as risks...

It looks like anyone wanting to start out has to take on major debt. My daughter is trying to purchase a piece of land with a single wide mobile home. The land is worth more than the asking price. However, because of the trailer, no one will finance it. Either build now and assume large debt or forget it! Interesting, it not usually the person trying to keep payments low that default on loans. Yet they are punished because of large debt holders.

I am trying to sell a 1979 doublewide in a park. But have been told that I would need a cash buyer and that turns potential buyers away. Can you provide any assistance.

I Have a 1994 model single wide mobiel home that is in good shape and has had an external roof over it since it was bought. It has a beautiful 3.25 ac with a 1 ac pond stocked with bass, bream, and catfish. It has a two car carport, has cedar siding, two shops outside, water fountain, and boardwalk going across branch. A great piece of land! Can anyone help?

I am a real estate agent in Texas. I have several singlewide mobile homes with land listed and have been unable to locate financing for potential buyers. All of these homes were built in the early 80's. Are there any lenders available for these homes? None of them can go FHA. Most of them have been moved at least once which disqualifies them.

I am looking into buying a 1973 mobile home. It needs work, but not a lot. I am willing to fix this up, but I am being told I have to have 25% down. It sits on 2 large city lots, in a great neighborhood. I can purchase a home, for a much larger amount, but I would rather purchase this home and keep my payments low! This loan amount is for less than most people pay for a car. Can anyone help me? I have less than 30 days to try to get it, before the bid is void and the next buyer will get it.
