Nice to see another person posting that knows radio talent. To be honest, I whould listen to CMF when Wease was on for anything (nights, Saturday am). When Wease was over, I would switch to the FOX. Sounds like this will be a great combination.96.5 got moved on my car radio pre-set, to #12. 95.1 has #1 now, waiting to hear Wease again. All you "A" holes who talk crap about Wease, would not know real radio from "white noise". Wease is the real thing, he brings good talk and real music to Rochester's air waves. Go listen to Fickle, cause all of ya are... Real radio = WEASE!

It will be great, when Wease gets back on the air !
As for his non compete clause, he is doing precisely the right thing. There was a morning DJ named Jennifer Ross down in Florida, who did not abide by her no compete clause. Her employer, just like Wease's was CBS also, and they took it very seriously ! See the article at ( morning mouth.com ) When she took a new job and went on the air at the new station, CBS sued her and her new station, and just won their case, a couple of weeks ago ! CBS got $6.9 million in punitive damages and $126,511 in compensatory damages... because she failed to honor the no compete clause ! So you see, Wease is not only very intelligent, but also very compliant, for abiding by his contract with CBS ! Way to go Wease ! You know the old saying....good things come to those who wait ! |

95.1 has great rock, in fact I think it has recently gotten better. They play more and better rock than CMF does. Now with Wease coming back it will be that much better. Now as far as the complainers, you are always going to have them, heck they probably complain about high prices at Aldi's and WalMart. The non compete clause... let's get a new lawyer. It's too bad we will never be able to hear those old bits, and gone is the comedy caravan, but we can still have Wease Cares and the Teddy Bears at the source. Can we get things started with some new bumper stickers. None of my presets are on an entercom station, and won't be until Wease is back on the air. I'm not saying he was a god, but he was an eye opener, gave you food for thought, and was great for local currant events. He did this city a lot of good. He is a promoter and a motivater.

No doubt .But I hope they are paying him what he is worth .A good friend of a friend told me he had to take almost 1/2 of what he expected to make .Its sad to see some one who has been in radio for over 20 years and who once had a 11 share be taken advantage of .I dont care if people do not consider that work ,its entertaining and In America you make a lot of money in radio .Wease had no choice and they took full advantage of his situation .corporate America sucks .

He's lucky to have a local gig at all...
Those "nasty corporate types" made him a deal and he took it... |

lucky no ,the man earned his stripes.underpaid ,probably .when you have only 2 choices and you burn one of them you are stuck . The man made a whopper of a mistake and he is trying to fight his way back .Any one that does not respect that can never understand what its like to go from nothing to big shot back to nothing again .I believe with this last chance he will find a way to survive in Rochester yet again

your telling me that he went back to work for 1/2 of what he wanted .I do not believe that for a second .There is No way I would ever even consider working for 1/2 of what I am worth ,and I think Wease has more dignity then to lower himself to 125 k a year .You do not work for 22 years in a business and quit without some kind of idea what you want to earn .Its simple math here .He was worth more then they offered him and he would never work for less then that .
