THAT'S. RIGHT OLD GUY!!!!!!
Smoking only kills one in three smokers.(Of course if you are a smoker in your 60s,the numbers are higher.)
That means smoking will not kill two of three smokers.
AGAIN - YOU ARE SPEWING THE LIES OF THE ANTI_SMOKERS!!
Dolls "Doctors study" gives a nice breakdown of those who ACTUALLY died during those 50 years - here's how it breaks down:
The truth is:
If a person starts smoking a pack a day at age 18:
at 50 he has a 1.5% greater chance of dying "from smoking"
at 60 he has a 5% greater chance of dying "from smoking"
at 70 he has a 19% greater chance of dying "from smoking"
and at 80 he has a 51% greater chance of dying "from smoking"
These ARE NOT STATISTICS - These are the ACTUAL percentages of smokers that Died - FROM ALL CAUSES that they could POSSIBLY relate to smoking - compared to death ages in nonsmokers
The AGE in life - where a smoker EVEN APPROACHES the "1 in 3 chance" is about 77
Of Course - we are ALWAYS being reminded that ANY DEATH UNDER 80 is "PREMATURE"
Doll himself CONSTANTLY declared ANY DEATH in smokers as "Premature"
Well - Look at ANY "Actuarial Life Table" - and you will find that a man who is lucky enough to be 65 TODAY - Has a CHANCE of living another 17 years
COULD DOLL BE RIGHT???- I mean - HE LIVED TO BE 93
But then Picasso - smoking cigarettes AND cigars (and WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE) most of his life - lived to be 92
The founder of Paramount pictures - Adolph Zukor - was a "Chain smoker" and died at 103
Also Artie Shaw - another Chain smoker - 94 years!
How about Jeanne Calment age 122,- But SHE WAS ACTUALLY AN EX-SMOKER - she "QUIT" at 117
How About Eubie Blake, who lived past 100 while smoking 2 packs a day since the age of 8 and eating a pound of hard candy a day.
And of course George Burns 100 - 10-15 Cigars a day (inhaling about 1/3 of the time)- was still doing "Stand Up" at 93!
So it's PRETTY PLAIN TO SEE - IT'S NOT TOBACCO USE that determines whether you live to see a RIPE OLD AGE or not!
But according to ALL STATISTICS on DEATH AGE - 80 IS NOT Considered A PREMATURE AGE TO DIE AT!!!!
