S T R I K E ?????....at a time like this, especially with so much of our work is being shipped across the water now because of such high cost of labor. Wow,... ain't none of me! Organizers are long past their prime anyhow.

You know what cat pays scabs. Minimum wage. And do you know what happens when we finally settle a contract. Your out we are in. My Job is secure no matter what. So go make $7 an hour for a week or two and when i come back I will make $18 an hour with insurance.

Your comments are hilarious btw. Keep up the good work.

Unions keep the company from treating others like crap. If the union wasn't there. We would get $7 an hour wit insurance. And you all the first time you got hurt. Would be fired because not passing a drug test.

The first offer was cuts all across the board. From people ready to retire to new hires.

Let's say you just started at cat. Under what they wanted. You would make $7 an hour never get insurance. And no chance to ever retire. Ever. They replace you when they are done with you. Now I drive just like many others 70 miles just to work.$7 an hour. You can yell like these other kids.

Ah also all I said was solidarity. the feeling or expression of union. Brothers/Sisters sticking together.

In the 60's I worked at Cat in Joliet, Ill., good place but it's now closed I've heard. Nevertheless, don't tell me about union members "sticking together." I went to one union meeting to vote there at the Rialto Theature in Joliet, that was the most riotous, disorganized crowd of humans (I think) I'd ever seen. Didn't know if I would get out alive. But good luck.

This was in 1966 or '67. Why should I expect to see it any better today? I've experienced similar rioting via the Steel Workers much more recently but not so with trade unions such as Sheet Metal Workers.

These union bosses that are advising their members to strike are freaking idiots ! Their must not be enough perks in it for the union bosses.

To go on strike at this phase in global economic meltdown is insane !

If moved it ops to Wisconsin it would not surprise me at all. Just over the border. Right by the Wisconsin 14 !

Unions only care about protecting the union bosses ! The afl cio is just plain communistic !

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
