Town of Tonawanda: Buyouts, layoffs loom at Dunlop plant

Just got an entry level job there gonna start and the start of the new year ..13.89/hr plus $1.20 extra for working the d shift.. anyone have a comment or feedback??

They will work you like a dog if you are building tires.They do not care about you.be careful.

Stick with it!!!!! 3 years from now you will be making between $20 -$24 an hour! plus we get a raise and a bonus check every 3 months!!!! iv been working at dunlop for 4 years and love it!! its hard work but your going to make a lot of money!

i have a chance to get hired at the buffalo plant.is it alot of repetitive ,heavy lifting? and how many breaks do u get ?

I went through the entire hiring process last October for the Buffalo plant. I'm still waiting to start. According to the hiring manager you could have to lift up to 100 lbs. She said that was for both male and female.

can somebody tell me how much overtime we will work? if i'm on D shift , will i get a chance to work mon. thru wed.?

Madatory 8hrs OT once a month.Voluntary OT is usually not hard to get.

Is there anyone who got hired the end of last year for the buffalo plant working yet? I'm still waiting to be called for strength test and get a start date.

Yes, thats rough. I was told your stuck in that shift for 3 years too!
