The only winners here are the union leaders. No matter what, the workers will never make up what they have lost in wages by striking. This strike has caused many to be layed off,not what people need in this state.Go ahead American Axel and close all the plants and then we can send these jobs overseas or to Mexico where people are willing to work and not complain about how much they make. You really showed them UAW.

Hey Scott guess what? Union jobs are not the only jobs being sent overseas because they can get foreigners to do it cheaper. Now I have never ever been a union worker and I agree that the only ones making good in the unions are the union leaders. But do not be fooled into believing that the only jobs we are losing is the jobs the union people were making far too much for far too many years. Pretty soon the only jobs left in the U.S. will be service oriented low paying jobs, medical field related jobs and white collar business jobs. Oh there will be some others but the illegals will take them. Ron Paul for President, your founding fathers approved this message.

In most cases, the union leaders will lose their jobs right along with the rest. They don't make the decisions for the rank and file. Contracts are voted on by the MEMBERS and the presidents of the locals are part of the rank and file. The union leaders at the state and national levels can only advise the locals and provide financial backing for the locals.

That is just stupid. Total ignorance about unions and how they function. This moron listens to too many Rush Limbaugh programs. Nobody wins in a strike.
During a strike, the UAW pays members strike pay and pays for their health coverage. During a strike workers do not pay union dues. During a strike the UAW has money going out, not coming in. Only a total fool could think union leaders win in a strike.

What did I say? The market for labor is changing to the world economy and the costs are changing too.
