Winchester moved to Mississippi where they can get employees who appreciate a good job, and that's where Cooper's home office will end up.

We're thankful to have our jobs.

I don't know whos greedy, the Union or Cooper, rumors fly around so fast it's hard to know whats true anymore. I do know that Cooper has a history of closing plants without much empathy though, and they've been expanding overseas operations. Just be careful guys, make sure you're ready for the worst if you keep this up, cause I honestly don't think it's gonna end well for the workers.

It seems kinda strange how the Cooper folks in Findley talk about the bad working conditions they have, they have to work 12 hr shifts and only get a half hour lunch, well I work at Tupelo and we have been working that way sense 1990 and have had several votes to change the shift but always stick with the 12hr one so stop your bitching, you make more money that any tire plant in the US and further more our people are going to Findley building tires and running 16 to 20 hrs over your rate making half what you do. As far has hiring people in at 13 to 14 dollars a hour well that's well over minimum wage and no one is making them work there, so get off the picket lines you lazyass steel workers and get in line at the unemployment office.

I think everybody that works at Cooper Tire in Findlay better be looking for a new job. I believe they are moving out of Findlay and by the workers voting the contract down they just screwed themselves. Happy Job Hunting!!!!

Your correct, Cooper is taking advantage of a bad economy, but so is most of the other companies in this country. They also have to deal with the high price of materials and parts to keep the plants running. I don't agree with all that's going on at Cooper but all in all it's not a bad place to work. I have been there for 22yrs and guess I will hang on awhile longer if the union doesn't take the company down. As far as the CEO making the big bucks, well what about the union CEO's how much are they making? You don't ever hear about that.

It wouldn't matter they still want more no matter how much they already got. To bad nobody ever sees that money except the politicians

Rucrazy, everyone complains about how these executives always want more, but I want more too, and no matter how much I made I'd still want more. Growing is just what we do as people. The problem is the unions are writing checks with their mouth that they can't cash. I really think Findlay is gonna be out 1,050 jobs because of "union pride". Sometimes you gotta lose the fight to win the war.

I believe you hit the nail rite on the head with the pride comment. I think this is what its come down now is just union pride.
