If all of the politicians would just mind there own business, the Fire Fighters and Chiefs would make the right decisions to take care of there communities. It's the same thing as usual, Micromanagement from the commission level. The firemen have done this for years give them more funding and let them run there area!!

i thought the mutual aid agreement in kanawha county was to skip a station, so they could be used for coverage. you got skipped, so now you want cry about it. imagine that,then you wonder why you get left out.

Well, well, well, As always just like in the past chief 14 doesn't get his way then he wants to get others involved to fight his battles.... I think it's pretty childish that he has such a problem with rejection he thinks it has to b handled on the county level!!!! Maybe instead of always trying to take over when someone does call for your limited experience, u should do what's ask of u and not what u want to do or think should b done..... Hey, let's face the facts those Lil tankers aren't needed as much as they were 12 years ago because the WV American water service has evolved with better hydrants in more areas, And my advice to u Mr. Johnson the fire service is evolving as well, with or without u..... And for Mr. Sigmon I have just one question, when u were a fire chief at South Chas. Did anyone fight u r battles for u, or smooth things out?? My guess would b no!!!!!! But that was before u became a politician and was a Fire Officer..... And last of all but most importantly sure do wish we as the fire service had Mr Bill White back in the office as Co. Fire Coordinator...... 970!!!!!!!

14 can't even put out there own fires they gotta tone out other stations to put it out for them so why would anybody tone them out when they can't even do it there selves

The volunteer fire service gets enough black eyes without bashing each other in front of the public If you are that bored how bout you pick up a book and read or do some training if you want to make yourself and your department better

Sounds like PJ need to go to the local dollar general and get the economy size box of tampons and vagisil and take care of that mangina problem. He wonders why people don't like him and call for him, well I'd say this is a good reason. The other kids didn't let him play in the sandbox so now he wants to whine and cry about it. The calls get ran and the outcome is probably the same wether or not his Dept was there. I understand the whole mutual aid agreement, but can he honestly say that he's gone by the book on every call he's had n his area? I seriously doubt it. I think the county commissioner has bigger things to worry about than wether PJ Johnson was toned for a call or not.

Oh yea.. How do you like how his fellow fireman post pictures of a recent car wreck( without the last week) on the Internet for the whole world to see, you could see the patients face, how much blood the patient lost, how many people they get out on a call, and ohh yea I almost forgot how they do auto extrication without their helmets on and without eye protection and the fire chief is standing there watching!!!!!! Wow he should be so proud!!!!!!!

From reading other forums on topix about other small town vfd's, maybe Mr. Johnson and Mr. McGee have both ran away all their good people and experience.....
