Sammie is dead on with what she said above. I went through exactly the same deal. Landair pulls some really unethical hiring practices. Take warning, because driving for Landair can get you in a mess.

They took our E-Z Pass because the person taking care of them could not do there job, it was told that the reason they took them was that companey driver keep taking them to the truck they were driving and all they had to do was cut they off each E-Z pass has a number on them. Know the rest of them has to suffer because this person can not do there job. This is only one reason why you need to check Landair..

I currently work for Landair and have for a couple of years. I was very impressed working for Landair, for the first week. Then I began to experience how management treats their employees and how they expect you to treat the employees. I have worked within the corporate office for a few years now and continually see drivers and the associates get treated like crap in order for the upper management to get their wallets fattened. If you don't go out and party with the children and get drunk with the in crowd you will go no where within the company. It is a disgrace to those that want to progress throughout the company. This is the worst excuse for a business that I have seen. They say one thing and do the exact opposite, so be warned. The hire less than mediocre employees in order to pay the lost amount possible for salaries, and if you are above the norm for performance and production do not expect to get promoted, because you will make the management look bad so they will black ball you from succeeding.
How can someone be working part time, yet bring in over 100K annually? Oh wait, be related to the President of the company.

If you go to Landair you will regert it when they open there mouth it's a lie for example they took our e-z pass for the tolls away. Now they are tell that they are looking to get them back this is a lie because they have been saying that for a year. It's doesn't take that long to get something done. hear is another in orientation they are saying that they don't you the freeze or burning up let see if you can do it at 20% idle time.

Worse company my husband has ever worked for. Drivers beware they do not treat you right and you end up with no paycheck! Check all the facts before you sign on!

I was about to drive for Landair too and live just outside Greeneville and heard about all the problems. A few old drivers I talked to said no miles and they treat you bad. Glad I didn't go too. See there are alot of people who have had trouble there at Landair. My brother in law drove for them and just quit too.
Look like me and you would have been in the same class I was about to go to work for them as well. Think I will hold off from that mistake.

Hmm.. by the looks of all these post, landair ain't shit.. I'm thinking about going there any way. Drivers lie, any company that is in business makes money. All trucking companies treat you like crap.. I have 4 years of experience, I'm with covenant at the moment, my wife is just starting out. At 1st the miles were good, now its like $200 pay checks. Lowest paid for team but rumor is this is the best company to work for as teams.. only way to make money here is team dedicated. I'm going to land air, I might like.. I see their trucks on the road, the drivers have smiles on there faces. They must be getting that grip.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Libra

It's one of those difficult days when anything can and will happen. Someone you were relying on might let you down, plans could be changed at the eleventh hour or a machine could go on the blink. To make matters worse, your energy levels are very erratic, so you feel full of beans one minute and ready to go to sleep the next. Don't make the situation worse by eating foods that give you a high followed by a slump.
