Landair Transport

i worked for landair and i never met a nicer bunch of people and they did exatly what they told me i got miles and i got home EVERY WEEKEND!! My dad got cancer and could not be alone at first they told me to go home to be with my dad my truck sat 2 weeks!!! that is unheard of in the trucking industry!!! then i went back out for another 2 weeks and then my dad went from bad 2 worse. they let me keep my truck 4 another 2 weeks and then i took a leave of absence and cleaned out my truck and parked it close 2 the interstate and they sent somebody 2 come pick it up.some people just are so miserable in their lives no matter how they are treated they will complain!!!good or bad!!! I THANK GOD FOR LANDAIR AND THE PEOPLE THERE WHO HELPED ME WITH MY SITUATION WITH MY DAD. GOD REST HIS SOUL HE PASSED JAN.21 2008. AS SOON AS I GET SOME THINGS SETTLED I WILL BE RETURNING 2 WORK @ LANDAIR TRANSPORT IN GOOD OLE GREENVILLE TENESSEE.

Landair gained a reputation in the community as "screwing over" their employees. It was a good place to work years ago, but has really slipped over the last several years. Ask around before considering a job there.

Landair is the worst company ever! I worked in their Greeneville office and they treat their employees terrible.

I currenntly work for Landair. I get treated good. The miles aren't an issue because I get guranteed money pulling sonoco stough out of Hartsville,SC. Love my dispatcher, cool guy. I asked him two weeks ago if he could keep me closer to the house because my wife is having a baby. I've been home around noon everyday and still getting my guanteed money. I have no complaints. The people in Greenville were really nice and all the drivers that came through there while I was there didn't say anything negative about the company. Sorry to hear you guys stories, maybe misfortune hasn't hit me yet.

I just quit driving for Landair about two weeks ago. They just couldn't get me the miles I needed or get me home at the time they promised. My dispatcher was cool, but said the company is in a mess. Take the advice and don't drive for Landair.

Landair sucks!!!

I am Transportation Manager for a major shipper in the southeast and we booted Landair over a year ago due to service and lack of commitment to our account. In my view, horribly operated company with huge turnover internally. Interesting to see all the negative comments here.
