Something DOES have to be done! These people only have the power to destroy families that we give to them. My daugther currently fighting for her children and facing termination of her parental rights based on false accusations. My daughter is going to court in Jay Ok, on 4/16/09 to fight to keep her parental rights. Help, come picket the court house. We going have to form a strong line against these people to bring them down and the only way is to speak out and be heard. My daughters two boys 4 and 5 yrs old the state took them in to custody over a week ago and they will not say anything, she has not talk with them nor seen them since. The DHS is going try to make the other parent look better just so they can finish there retailation on my daughter. The fathers wife don't want the boys, they got 3 young kids. The father has drugs in his life. My daughter has never abused her children and never taken drugs. The DHS OF DELAWARE CO., made it where my daughter can't get her little baby girl now that they came in and removed the boys on bogus charges. My two sons lost their sister to the other parent over bogus alligations. Now they pull them out of their home and into foster home. My 4 year old has ADHA Disorder, and im afraid he will be mistreated. He is not as bad as these people are saying, he just wants to be a kid and DHS is taking away his child years from him. It's hard to go day by day not knowing where your GrandChildren are and how they are being treated.
If anyone wants to help my daughter , lets start with a PICKET LINE to throught down this nausty system. My email: whitewaters11@yahoo.com

My granddaughter is in DHS costody in McClain County. I have done everything they have told me to do, including home study, background checks ect. and still her case worker Keri Riley won't allow me to see her. I have filed for visitation rights and for adoptation, only now to have the foster parents decide they want to adopt her. If anyone out there has had to deal with this DHS worker or agency please let me know I'm ready to fight for what is right not what DHS wants.

I've had to deal with a similar situation with DHS,(but not the same case worker)...quite some time ago. I don't know about Oklahoma, but some states get EXTRA FUNDING for all the adoptions they process.
Check YouTube...google DHS. You will find a lot of information there about DHS abuses. Get your info and documentation lined up and FIGHT. Because you could loose all parental rights to your child otherwise, and then it's too late!

My children were in DHS custody for over a year and after they took them from me they placed them with thier father who at the time didnt have any visitation at all!!! It took me forever to get my kids back and it was so curropt they way the handled things...i know my kids were way worse off for having to go thru that!! I think something should be done!!! and soon before any more children are ripped away from there homes for no reason!

The parents and Grandparents of these poor abandoned children should be sued also. But goodluck if you can get the state of Oklahoma to pay out anything especially if the lawsuit is handled within Oklahoma. I don't believe you would have a chance to win even if you are right.

i agree but who can we get to listen. i am willing to go public with what happen to me.i will even go as far as to state capitol with my case. if some one has any info on how i am ready. cause i love my son and he misses me every day. i only get tosee him twice a year and he only has one grandparent left and gets to see her twice a year. has not seen his older brothers only his sister twice a year. does not get to see aunts or uncles or cousin on my side which he is close too. and as for the other side they keep him isaleted from that side of family. if any thing they are abuse to my son.

A family recently violated by OKDHS is seeking others who have interest in being included in a possible class action lawsuit. Anyone interested should contact "Family Bond Matters" <familybondmatters@ comcast.net >

Grandparents/ relatives who have been wrongly denied custody/adoption of children in DHS custody are especially encouraged to inquire.

IMHO, there's no need to throw good money into a broken system. Fix what is broken and then add additional funding.
I totally agree with this statement, throwing more money without going in and detecting were the breakdowns are and repairing those, there should also be better checks and balances, plus this department should not be established solely on the premise of protecting children only. Parents have no choice but to be offenders until they exhaust their resources. They have an incredible amount of information on their website and literature to spell out everything but how parents can protect themselves

Hire a good attorney and complete the ISP (individual Service Plan). Go immediately and take a parenting class, anger mangement class. Take a full psychological exam and testing including the MMPI-2 test. An attorney should be able to advise you better. Seek one who has some experience in eldercare and family law.

My friend here in OKC husband had a child under DHS custody and they lost her for 3 years. She just turned 18 recently and been put off the books. He still living with the turmol of it. Unbelievable that its year 2010 and still the working poor of USA is looked at as untouchables like in India.

We are having to deal with DSH after a annononist phone call from out of state saing my freinds daughter had sat on my lap. How can someone from 1500 miles away see in our home. Why did they even believe something like that that far away. Its been a year and half and they are still investaging. Gosh i hate to see what would happen if there had been abuse. Not counting the money the working poor have to pay with there taxes for all the investagating.

What do you mean they lost her and don't know where she is at?? How old is she?
How can they "lose" a child??? That is ridiculous.

My 5-month old son's arm was broken. That is fact.
I was charged with breaking his arm. That is fact.
The charge was held over my head for over three years; months beyond the Statute of Limitation for prosecuting. That is fact.

After over 22 months the Prosecutor handed me X-rays from OSUMC generated November 15, 2006; stating "There are more at St. Francis."

Here are the facts in chronoligical order:

Elan was taken by DHS November 15, 2006 withoug any court order. The X-rays generated that afternoon w accompanying report verify perfect health and no injury of any kind.

The morning of November 21, 2006, DHS Foster parent Tanya May took Elan to St. Fracis where he was X-rayed and those X-rays show, and the radiologist report supports the fact that Elan's arm was broken into multiple pieces. Elan was kept at St. Francis for eleven hours for this injury; Dr. Debbie Lowen stated it was child abuse. This same afternoon the Prosecutor petitioned the Court to authorize DHS to take custody of Elan as a "Deprived Child." I was charged with the crime of breaking my son's arm. I now have all the hospital records and am not allowed to present the X-rays as evidence. After losing parental rights at the kangaroo trial the criminal charge was dismissed. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

The name of the game is to protect the higher ups at DHS from looking back. You can be the best social worker in the world, and if you complain they will destroy your career up to and including yanking your license. Go to Court? That's a joke, the judges work with them.
