I'm new to the forum, and noticed no one had discussed jewelry from places like Peru. My friend used to travel there a lot on business, and she always came back with gorgeous artisan jewelry. I had her get me some handmade pieces that I've had for years. They seem to use a higher quality silver over there (950?) and a lot of it is made by hand in small workshops. I found this beautiful site that sells the same kind of Peruvian jewelry http://www.tikanchay.com and it looks like they give back to the artisans. I'm planning on ordering a few pieces. I've always been a big fan of handmade stuff -does anyone know of any other sites I can check out for South American jewelry designs?
