Wasn't Kasich one or the house leaders during the only period in the last 48 years to actually reduce spending and cut deficets ? The budgets that dems claim were Clintons were written by congress, a repub congress.

John Kasich for Governor!

Given Strickland's track record thus far which is pathetic, I think it's a time for a change.

Ohio's priority on Education finance and reform is seriously lacking. Something must be done to rectify this critical issue.

Best of Luck John. Hammer away at Strickland's campaign promises and remind the public that you're accountable, and you'll do well.

We have a President that has the most suspect affiliations imaginable.

Think of all the Marxist whack-jobs that he has appointed as "Czars" (does Van Jones ring a bell?). How about Bill Ayers who co-founded the communist Weather Underground and tried to blow up the U. S. Capital building, the Pentagon, and the N.Y.P.D. building? Not to mention a 23-year relationship with Reverend Wright.

Obama's relationships and past activity would prevent him from gaining clearance to be an FBI agent. Yet stupid America elected him as President.

Not to mention the generational theft that Obama and the Congress are committing as we speak.

And we are going to call out John Kasich because he worked for Lehman? Are you kidding me?

Liberals should put their own people under the same microscope and scrutinize them as they do conservatives.

From the article in the Democrat Party mounthpiece: "Still, the Democrats' effort to tie Kasich to Lehman's failure is a stretch, according to interviews with several of Kasich's former bosses and colleagues at Lehman and others in the investment-banking community."
That is an adimission that there was no there there.

Kasich a director at Lehman Brothers. Another Republican insider. Bad. Strickland is certainly better than Kasich. Much better!

Isn't it funny how Bob Tafts downfall revolved around a few unreported golf games, yet while in Strickland's first three years, half of this staff have quit or resigned related to scandals and fraud. And we read yesterday Strickland hires another criminal from the OEA to oversee State retirement funds. I WILL be voting for Kasich.

Jon Corzine, who's using tens of millions of his own dollars to finance his race for New Jersey governor, was a Wall Street executive. Party affiliation: Democrat.
In last year's presidential race, who received the most money from Wall Street: Barrack Hussein Obama.
Wall Street has given $11 million to the U.S. Senate this year. The biggest recipient: Chuck Schumer of New York, who took $1.65 million. Five times more money went to the Democrats than Republicans.
No one has been a bigger friend to Wall Street than the Democrats, who are in largely to thank for the big bailouts on the taxpayer dime.
You can't get a little bit pregant. If you want to chide Kasich, bring it on. He's got just as much ammunition.

So now it's "Karma" that will keep us in this quagmire? Taft was a stooge but Strickland is inept. It really is time for a "change" this time...come on 2010!

Another Republican? Are you **** kidding me? Republicans ran this state and nation into the ground so how can anyone in their right mind suggest that we send another one to the governor's office?! Kasich is nothing more than a nutty ideologue, his pro-business, crazy economic policies are what got us into this mess, and if Ohio is stupid enough to elect someone of his ilk, the darling of Lehman Bros. and blowhard for Faux News, then we deserve what we get. This is absolute madness. Kasich went to bed with the people who wrecked the economy, and now they want to blame Strickland?! Can people really be that gullible?

I work on Wall Street and I'm from Columbus, Oh.

Mr. Kasich is being deceitful about the release of his 2008 tax return. The 2008 return is irrelevant because Lehman employees, including Mr Kaisch, did not receive meaningful bonuses for the 2007 or 2008 years because Lehman when bankrupt on Sept 15th 2007.

Mr Kasich's 2008 tax return will show a salary of $300,000 for 2008, and a bonus of $300,000 to $1 million, for 2007 but was paid in 2008.

If you were to look at his 2005, 2006, or 2007 returns, you would see bonuses between $2m and $5m.

"Kasich almost certainly became wealthy working for Lehman, even as he simultaneously earned big paychecks as a Fox News personality, from sitting on corporate boards and as a motivational speaker at corporate events nationwide."
I am tired of the media suggesting any person who is wealthy is a possible Madoff.

My apologies, the bankruptcy was Sept 15th, 2008, Not 2007. Regardless, the 2008 return is still not relevant because all the options awarded for his bonus were out of the water and worthless.

Dittos. However, he should come clean with his tax returns.

Completely agree, remember Republicans are experts at projection.
