And on and on it goes...
We'll soon be a country of two classes - rich and poor. |

Gee, he made almost as much as a major league baseball pitcher. Of course, those guys have to work every fifth day so they earn it.

Would love to know how they paid out claims to their customers. Probably not as generous is my first guess.

Absolutely amazing. And all this after my renter's and personal liability insurance went up almost 20%.

Same thing applies to insurance companies that provide health insurance. How much more do we have to pay before an intervention takes place?

Do you work there? Are they paying you to defend their outrageous salaries as premiums go up and reimbursement rates go down? |
||||
Just another contribution from the little people to the ruling class. |

My six-month auto insurance premium has just been increased $90 for no other reason than 'Allstate is increasing rates across the board.' Now I know why -- to line this guy's pockets! My agent is useless.
Maybe I should ask the Geico lizard how much less he'll charge me for the same level of coverage. Goodbye Allstate! |

The inaurance buisness is like a black hole in that it sucks money in and keeps it. The money you put in pays for that 10 million package, the agents and the vacation package they win by screwing their customers, the secretarys, the lawers they keep on retainer to settle disputes and to draft language to make us come running toward the flame, the people that live on Capitol hill bribing senators to pass bills that will save them thousands while making it harder for us to get justice, the board of directers, and in the case of Allstate, the investers. Back in the 70s the oil companies were controled by congressional oversight. Perhaps that would make things better. At least I would feel a little better about paying the bill.

1 Please don't take on little guys like us!! There are rules & regulations for US to follow. Don't get me wrong. I'm not here to defend those guys. In fact, WE - Allstate agents in CANADA are also being ripped off!! If you're curious enough, click on the following link & see: http://www.napaausa.org/news.asp ... |

My agent is useless. Ok...in matter of fact,just for u 2 know,your personal AllState agent has nothing to do with rates increase!!All customers r getting the renewal notes with new prices and your agent doesnt really knows that... And anyway in any case you can call to your agent and ask if there r any options to make your premium lower - cause there r some ways to do that:) |

1 The across-the-board rate increase for everyone was the 'reason' I was given for my rate hike. I did ask my agent to redo my policy and he said no. That's why I said he was useless. I understand that Allstate has big problems in other states that have suffered devastating hurricanes, etc. and that Allstate is fighting legal battles on those claims. I get that, but $90 is still too much of an increase without an accident or claim on my policy. You have to agree that the compensation levels of all executives 'across the board'(not just at Allstate) is getting way out of hand. They get mega-rich while their employees and customers suffer. R U in agreement with that? Sorry ... that should be "are you." |

1 Chicago, IL "R U in agreement with that? Sorry ... that should be "are you." Maybe...but..u know that even if you gonna get other insurance (cheaper one i mean)..u DO know that there is no garranty that they gonna pay..Cause in alot of cases that kind of insurance they dont even pick-up the phone:) And having Allstate or State Farm or other more expensive one - u r sure that u gonna receive information or payment or smth else right away... |

Last year Allstate cut the trips of its top agents. Trips the agents earned. The agents that earn these trips usually put in 60 plus hours a week and are the front line workers of the company. The trips were cut because Tommy boy claim the “public” doesn't like to see big companies giving out perks. This shows how delusional Allstate’s CEO is. The public like to see the guys that are breaking their backs everyday getting something back. They do not like to see a Fat Cat CEO earn big bucks even while he is tanking the company he is running. Allstate’s earning are tanking, moral is historically low, wall street is screaming get out of financial services, but who earned fat buck last year??? Tom Wilson that’s who. |
