L.I. Dentist Who Treated P.A. Officers Accused Of Insurance Fraud

Barry Cohan is a thief he over billed my wife and I seveal times and he even call our house one sunday night trying to intimidate us into paying him or he would destroy our credit we had two different coverages so he when for the gusto he also made a comment when my wife suggested on how to bill the claim base on our dental coverages (ppo) he told her don't tell him what to do mind you my wife worked for the insurance company that covered us he is also a bigot he said to me once how black people would rather spend money on sneakers and chains instead of having good dental coveage but not like you guys you have two kind of coverage...oh he was always on the computer trying to trade we talk about it a few times

That is very typical of Bary Cohan.He loves to harass good honest hard working citizens. He would costantly call patients and charge them for being late or cancelling an appointment!He is VERY RUDE! Disrectpectfull,Barry Cohan should not be practicing dentistry!Perhaps,one day he will suffer the consequences of his actions!!

Barry cohan should have been put away for scamming patients!because he stole so much money,he had enough to toss around and get away with.Anyway rhe night always runs, untill the day catches it!!

Not only did Barry Cohan do unecessary work, he overbilled me and charged hundreds of dollars for cancelled appointments that were cancelled within a 24 hour time period according to his own policy. He also did poor work, sloppy and very staggard work. Some days he did nothing so I took a half day from work to get no work done. He was also extremely unprofessional in his demeanor, flirting and making sexual remarks. What a nightmare! May he get what he deserves.

ths guy is major league bad news. not only is he a thief, but he is also a bad dentist. he botched a simple procedure on me that cost me a root canal and crown. then he over charged me and is also trying to collect more for charges that the HMO already denied from his bogus claims.

he also was convicted of insurance fraud in 1998 and has dozens of blogs written by other "fans" on other sites. If you hate this vermon as much as i do, spread the word.

and let's hear it for our ever honerable men in blue uniforms. PA, MTA, NYPD and all you other podunk pd's around these parts, thats why they are cops, so they can get away with what we pay them for protecting us from....crime.

Luckily I have the smarts to take this lying, fraudulent, piece of crap to small claims to sue him for the fraudulent work he did on my mouth.
Over $3,000 worth of unnecessary work to my mouth.

He has placed the charges on my credit. That's ok, I'm going to win my money + pain and suffering.

He's going to Jail in January 0f 2010 for a good Two years.

LOL! I forced Dr Cohan to be honest (unnecessary root canals) I made sure I made the decisions about what he was going to do or not do in my mouth..I also checked and double checked my insurance and dental charges.....I find him to be a good dentist. So he's a thief and we know about it so what how many thieves or bigots have not been caught or identified. Not saying he's right but we all make mistakes maybe he will learn from his. Judging him makes us no better than he is.

Did you file a claim against this "dentist"? I am getting ready to take him to small claims court myself. Was curious of your outcome.
