This explains why Bush is no longer talking about his intent to veto the bill.

The President is still planning to veto the bailout. Take a minute to send the White House an email to let them know you support the veto:

Veto it Prez. If you buy too much house, sign a contract that states your house payment will soon increase substantially, you have no right to bitch, moan and complain when your payment rises. You are retarded to even ask us taxpayers to bail your dumb ass out. VETO it!

So you're saying he changed his mind since yesterday.. WRONG

Only liberals and dummycrats change their minds that fast. Whichever way the wind blows for them.

“I was surprised by the White House threatened veto,” said Senator Mel Martinez, a Florida Republican who served earlier in the Bush administration as the secretary of housing and urban development.“The White House message has not been consistent.”

Mr. Martinez said that the “obtuse” nature of the veto threat suggested to him that the administration had issued it as a negotiating tactic.

Reuters:
"The White House on Friday set out terms for a possible deal on a housing market rescue plan, as a sweeping package backed by the House of Representatives was on its way to an uncertain greeting in the Senate."

Like I said in another forum, please don't use my tax dollars to bail out people who were too stupid to realize what they were getting themselves into.

JUST THINK OF ANYTHING THEY LOST AS A STUPIDITY TAX!
