We have a vast oversupply of homes in Palm Beach, with more to come as more people are moving away from PBC than to PBC. There are also many foreclosures on the horizon. There needs to be a building moratorium, period.

While the commission's position could be viewed as admirable, it is flawed. If the best interests of residents were realized, a temporary building moratorium would be imposed if/until real housing demand justifies more homes. Of course, we're in the mess because of irresponsible building permitted by the county commissioners.

Remember this all when you go to the polls in November!

I like socialism. It's not as bad as people think. Not all "isms" are equal to commun-ism.

Enough is enough talks like a true socialist. Instead of the maket directing housing needs; enough thinks goverments can do it through constsnt regulation and re-regulation. Its runaway, out of touch growth management that has partially caused this in the first place.

Government could ease the strain by slicing appraised property values to 60% of what they are now.

yeah, the county can really put its money where its mouth is and reduce property taxes 60%. That...would be the way to provide "workforce housing."

Most uneducated 'have-nots' like socialism because they like to have things handed to them without working their fair share.
