I work at the Home Depot. But you'll never find me! When I see you coming towards me from down the isle, I'll ask the random customer next to me if they need help. When they tell me "No!" I help them anyway, just to see you stand there and wait for 10 minutes while I give useless advice.

When you finally do ask me a question, I'll say I don't know, or better yet, sell you something you didn't need that will break if you look at it wrong. Even something as simple as a box of screws...they'll break too. "Screw you!" I think to myself. Hahahaha.

Wanna know what's the best part of all? Home Depot put all the mom and pop shops out of business. Sure, some of them came to work for us, but not for long. Not till we could suck all the information from their heads that took them decades to learn! Then we just hire part time kids to stock the shelves.

So now you need to travel twice as far to get your hardware, zero help when at the store, and pay twice as much for crapola Made in China stuff! The good news is we have duct tape on every isle. Stock up on it, you'll need it.

Love,
The Home Creepo

Ah, Creepo. You truly have INSIDER information. Too true. I have seen what you describe in action and on the floor. Customers, if you can avoid HD, then go somewhere else.

Hey. What happened to our economy in Rome is "growing" and drawing people to have their children educated in Rome. ONLY because of the home depot closing. Well.. who's next? The mayor is so concerned about the stupid city getting all the people here to "obsrve" the new "state of the art buildings beeing built, why not plan them right next to our sex offeder land which happens to be RIGHT next to our STATE OF THE ART RFA. Boy hopefully those sex offendrs in those rooms dont have binoculars cuz if they do..... well e wont get into that!! lol

Where is "sex offeder land?" And what do you have against state of the art? Is that more anti-intellectual bias showing through?

the sex offender land would be the state of the art hotel we have being built right in frint of our state of the art RFA. Is rfa a state of the art?? I would have to agree to yes. it is a wonderful looking school just needs lots of work on the inside for good things to keep happening. The sex offenders land will be outsiders visiting our area, and we can visualize them now holding binockulers in their hands to /"check out" the students leaving school. Sounds crazy but I give it 6 months and at least 1 case will happen. STUPID PLACE FOR A HOTEL!! That is all that is meant by that.

I agree 100%. Home Depot is the worst store you could ever shop in. I never went to a Home Depot to buy anything as a customer because I used to work for a company that delivered products to this rat hole of a company. The workers, for the most part, were the rudest, laziest pieces of dung I have ever met. I hope the whole company goes in the crapper. They deserve it.

You f'ing New Wankers...you cannot spell, speak intelligently, or even come up with a rebuttal that sounds original. No wonder your store is closing! you sound like a bunch of morons. I could only imagine what the customers think of you. Oh yeah! they are New Wankers too. Yo Adrian help me spell observe! and Creepo, your name is befitting. I do not know if you are a current, former or wannabe associate...but you are the true definition of why this company is failing! I was with Depot for five and a half years. Started out on night crew and worked my way to SM. And believe me Creepo, I would have recognized your sorry ass immediately for what you truly are. I would have first taken you out back and kicked the shit out of you and then have fired your ass!!!

On the plus side they are opening 55 new stores in 2009, and their shares are up 83cents(2.9) percent.

On the negative side alot of the Mom & Pop stores have struggled to stay in business. Advertising is the key to compete with these giants. I shop both types of stores.

Hater...not that I disagree with you -- this company truly is failing. But I think the primary reason it's doing so is because its culture encourages the exact kind of behavior you say you are going to inflict on Creepo. Management through intimidation is probably not the best way to gain optimal performance from one's associates; unfortunately, that approach is all too common in many stores and, as I said, even encouraged by the district and regional levels. Of course, at those levels, those managers are able to separate their management advisement from the actual execution of it in their stores (e.g., "I never told him/her to do that"). I can't imagine why anyone would want to work in those conditions and surrounded by that type of unprofessional behavior after a period of time (everyone has a breaking point). Oddly, enough, they shouldn't have to -- there is a performance management system in place that does work if a manager is willing to use it.
