Can i ask when you got your points.......just received ours and am wondering how long till we get the check....attorney told us we would get the forms to sign by august 1....

I know that some are still waiting for 1st checks, and I hope they come soon.
But ... does anyone have a good idea as to when this will all be tied up? When final checks for MI victims will go out? I keep reading September 2009, but is that realistic?

I got the first points about the first of June. Had to appeal. Got the amended points on the 1st of July. Got the papers on thursday and sent them back already. Lawyer closed friday for the fourth, but doesnt matter. The cutoff date for jusy checks was the 30th of June I believe. I will get my first check the end of August.(As you should) Bear in mind that the check goes to the atty and then they cut one for you so it could be as late as say, the 10? of September.(And then the second check should follow it within a month or so later.)

I DID get another paper I need to send back. Its just a paper for me to take either a structured settlement or be paid in full. Myself, I am going for a full payment. Unless you have an ex trying to sue for part of the patment, are getting some sort of Gov. assist. thats based on income, or cannot manage money and tend to spend everything as soon as you get it, I would suggest taking a full payment and visiting an investment counselor.

Ok enough is enough. This is your week. They have been busting your chops long enough.by wednesday for sure, I want to read yessssss i got my points today and they are a lot more than i expected. It's almost over my friend,hang in there.

Gosh guys, I believe there's going to be good news this month for everyone,just think no more Julys of having to go through this ordeal. And I bet everyone who has not got their first checks will definitely get them the end of this month, or first of August, and they may get the final check in with it, I really wish that. You know they always say watch what you wish for, well that's what I am wishing for, let's see what happens. I think what's happened they kept changing the deadline to much, like they extended it to June 2009, that was too close, it should have been cut-off months ago, I think they wanted people to drag their feet like the Ricos and that caused delays. Remember Iron Lady who had all this big fight in her, well she decided to join the settlement after all this time, what she and others shoud have done to begin with.

Well no news here yet my friends but we are holding out hope and of course as soon as I hear I will let you all know.......thanks for the support......Am still hangin' on asmoe

Well dad is worried, he thinks that he might possibly only get $5,000....this is his thinking, he says with his luck that's all they'll give him...it's amazing what people will believe......any input??

Tell your dad his luck is about to change.There is no way he is only getting $5000.00.I am guessing 78 points @1915 per point is $149370.00 before expenses.Tell him to start calling airlines for tickets to the Bahamas.

Sorry to be a bother, but I did get a first check (sorry to those that are still waiting). Does anyone have concrete info. as to when the last checks should be through? I'm starting to think that it will never happen....

Thats all they wanted to give me. I appealed and it jumped to over 100 points, so tell dad not to get to discouraged IF they come back with that the first time. The appeal only took about 3 weeks and I think the will be quicker as each day passed and it get closer to sept.

That Canadian address is probably where your internet hub went through to Topix. They say Im in Colorado, but Im in Montana.

Jerimiah, I was told by Brown/Greer and my attorney both that final checks would be Sept 30th, like you say, that means it will go out from BG then, and onto our attorneys, and with all the groundwork laid out, it should be in our hands by Oct.15th, we sign a recap form and bam after sending it back, will come ups within 3 business days, or that's the way it was with my first,maybe it will even be faster this time. I try calling every 2 weeks to update, and have been told everytime Sept. 30th is the projected date.

Thanks alot for the input Jerimiah...I will be sure to tell him that you were able to appeal the 5K and your points shot up!!! that should make him feel better, I know that I feel better now.....Hope you all have a great day!!!
