This new Bottom Dollar Store is awful. It's tacky. It's not cute. It looks like it came straight out of the GHETTO. Our neighbourhood has half-million dollar waterfront condos in it - Not exactly the right place for your ghetto superstore. Get it OUT of our neighbourhood and give us our REAL grocery store back. Until then, not only will I NOT be shopping at Bottom Dollar, but I will continue to boycott Food Lion and any grocery store owned by your company. As will all of my friends and neighbours. You'll be losing a LOT of money. Bet your bottom dollar on it.

I live in Gaithersburg, MD and I think that the new Bottom Dollar Store is terrible. The meat quality is poor, by the time I thaw it out to use it, it is has a funny smell and has to be thrown away. I have given up on lower prices because I waste more money than anything. Every now and then they run out of plastic bags (5 cents ones) and I have to pay $1.00 each for the cloth ones. Also the customer service is terrible. There is about 6-8 registers in the store but never more than 3 cashiers. The sales floor associates cannot answer any of our questions (if you can even find one.) I will not be shopping there anymore. I would rather spend more money and shop at a place that provides all of the service that Bottom Dollar does not. And a place where my family can acually eat the food after two days.

Tacky!!! Old, dirty fruit! Not so fresh meat! What are you thinking? Is this a another way of taking advantage of the community. Your ad sounds wonderful, till you get in the store to see high priced items. Wow! what a sad excuse for a store. No grocery bags! Are you serious! This is not a discount warehouse. Bring back Food Lion.

great concept! No Bags, ghetto feeling. I may suggest that they eliminate boxes and bottles as well. want a box of ceriel or rice ? Hold out your hand! Want milk? bring a bucket. Eliminate the refrigeration as well! Pick the maggots off the meat. Eliminate the expiration dates off products! Sell old shit from the 50s.

"Ghetto Store" Wow you snobs really need to get a grip!!! The food is the exactly the same as it is at food lion. Only alot cheaper!!!! The Meat is not old, as a matter of fact its great, much much better quality than Wal-mart which sucks!! So what if its not fancy, or you have to put your groceries in a box. At the end of the day, for those of us who really dont want to pay for atmosphere but want to be able to feed our familys its a wonderful change!!!! And one more thing since when does it make Fruit Loops taste better because when they are purchased on a red carpet. So people please ignore the snobs, On my first shopping trip I filled up my trunk with a weeks groceries of $54 bucks,$54 bucks!!! Thats a bargain. Way to go Food Lion!!!!!!!

Enjoy the roach infestation you get by bringing those packing boxes into your home.
Or do you already have one?

No big deal. I stopped shopping at Food Lion years ago because of poor service, jammed aisles, and that stupid discount card.
