Purchased a leather sofa by Lane in Eddie Bauer collection. We paid approximately $1000.00 seven years ago. We are a family of four. Our sofa still looks new. The cushions have maintained their shape perfectly and we use the sofa daily. Based on my oe sofa purchase, I would recommend Lane. There may be different quality lines within the Lane brand

I bought two Lane recliners last year. I didn't love the look but I have back problems and was told they were a quality brand. I have had one repaired it totally fell to pieces and the other one is falling apart too. I had requested service in early November and have not heard back. I heard Lane tried to cut cost and changed to cheaper material and if my furniture is any indicator it is true. Both chairs even the one that has been repaired are uncomfortable and look like they belong at a rummage sale.

We bought a new Lane Recliner for my mom, who's 5'2" and about 160 lbs (big for her...but, point being, NOT a horrendously heavy person). Yes, she does spend a lot of time in the recliner at 78 years old....probably about 8 to 10 hours a day. So what? I know healthy young men who spend that much time with chairs that don't have padding that break down every 2 months! The service rep our store hired came out and said there was nothing unusual about this "wear and tear" and since it's still under warranty, he'll "recommend to the store manager for more parts...again." So, we're ready to just get our money back. What do you all think?

Lane sofas are the worst. I thoughtI bought quality but I was wrong. The sofa cushions started to go bad in the first year but the company ignored the complaint. Then finally sent me a sofa in the box but I must replace it all myself. Never again will I buy Lane

I have had my Lane sofas for less than two years. I have had the foam cushions replaced three times. They will compress greatly after about two months. I am so disgusted with the wear of the cushions because I loved the look of the sofas. However, the cushions just flattened out. They don't get much wear or tear at my house because I don't have children or pets. My advice to anyone is, "DON'T buy a Lane sofa".

I purchased an expensive Lane sofa and love seat (leather) about a year ago and the cushions are flattening out. After sitting for an hour, I have to get up and switch the cushions around. I would not recommend Lane.

In 1992, I bought a 5 piece fabric covered Lane sectional sofa for $1,800 plus tax. Two recliners, a queen sized sofa bed, the corner piece and an extra plain one seat piece ($400) to make it real long. I am still using it after almost 19 years. I have 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grand children who have all visited me and played on this sectional. One of the recliner handles broke about 4-5 yrs ago. The other recliner handle still works fine. The sofa cushions are a little flat, along with the corner piece cushions. The separate piece sits fine. The queensize bed frame is broken, so I can use it anymore. I got my money's worth! I'd post a picture if I could. It looks good!

My Lane leather sofa is horrible. It looks great, but when you sit on it the cushions mash down flat. This sofa cost over $1000. Does anyone know where to get replacement foam that won't mash down. I am in the Fort Lauderdale area.

My sofa is also from the Eddie Bauer collection. We bought it approximately the same time, but did not use it daily until March of 2010. It looks great but is the most uncomfortable sofa I have ever sat on. The cushions mash flat until you feel like you are almost on the floor. We also purchased a chair at the same time,$1200. It was as bad, if not worse, than the sofa. We gave it away to someone who planned on re-doing the cushions.I do not recommend any of Lane products. They are a very uncooperative company to work with. They do not stand behind their products.

I bought a used Lane leather reclining sectional
in good shape. I have been looking for a diagram to connect the wiring correctly, but could not find any.
Does anyone know where I can find such a diagram? thank you

I bought a Lane sofa and chair. We decided to go with leather for durablitly. BIG MISTAKE! Even with my strict efforts to keep the leather clean and conditioned, the leather started cracking terribly within a couple of months after we purchased them. The furniture set was over $2000. I'm sorry I didn't read reviews first. I received NO help from Lane or the store I purchased it from. They have their money and I have a sofa that looks terrible!

We bought a Lane sofa bed in 2009. There are only two of us in our home. My husband weights about 200 lbs and my weight is about 140 and i am tall. We paid 1000 for it. Now the bed is a mess. We let my sone whomis of average wirht sleep on it for about a month. The springs came through the matteress. The bar acreoos the bottom bent lile it was rubber and the springs holding the unit broke in several places. The arm became loose the day it was moved into our home. To this day no one has came to fix it. Now we have moved and had to take this trash with us. I decided to take it apart to see if it could be replaced with new part. Well, yes it can be but for nearly 600. The backing of the couch is covered in card board. I am tossing this sofa. I will never by lane again

I bought a set of Lane sofa's in 2008 and less than 5 months later the fabric was seperating. I called the store where I purchased them and went through rigam and roll for 2 years before they said sorry your warranty is up. They had even sent a team out to take pictures ect. So now i have two couches with shredded fabric and i will never purchase a lane product again.

We are in the market for a sofa bed, queen size. Saw a beautiful one but it wasn't Lane. I know the Lane name and know it to be reputable. Does anyone know of any other sofa bed? Actually want a great sofa more than the bed. Will use the bed maybe once a year or less.
thanks
Don't buy Lane their product is inferior.......the cushions mash down until you are nearly sitting on floor....Bassett & Broyhill are best.

I am going through the same thing right now and have waited 5 mos. for the cushions,(STILL WAITING) and am afraid after a few months it will be right back to flat and seperated where we sit the most I HAVE MOVED CUSHIONS AROUND and rotated them. I have no pets or children either and barely sit on them, and I have 2 sofas because I LOVED THEM TOO, HOPE THEY WILL MAKE THIS RIGHT FOR ME, IF NOT THEY WILL HEAR ABOUT IT, NOT HAPPY! I have 2 of the Lane 863 Stanton sofa.

I purchased a lane sofa, love seat and chair in September 2011. Upon delivery I noticed the middle cushion of the sofa was lower in the center, the back of the chair was higher on the left side by 2 inches, the back of the love seat cushions were lumpy and had a hollow place in the back of one cushion. I called the retailer and although they would not come out to look at it they sent a certified Lane repairman out to fix it. He replaced the backs and some cushions. Two weeks later the sofa looked as if it were 10 years old. I have a sofa that is 17 years old that looks better. After arguing for 9 months and having the cushions replaced more than once, I am finally getting to select again and replace. I actually wanted my money back because of how the frames are constructed. The repairman explained that no matter how many times they replaced the cushions they would not hold up. The frames are poorly constructed and do not hold up. I have very low traffic in my home but the furniture looks as if I have a house full of people every day and night. Do your research and buy a different brand. You will be glad you did........

Does anyone have any input regarding the quality of Lane sofas? I understand from seom sources they are kinda thought to be middle from a low to high end rating. Anyone else want to chime in on your thoughts? Thanks.
I would say the furniture is mediocre at best. Their recliners are horrible and notorious for the mechanism going out. Their service department is HORRIBLE. Just pray you never need to make a warranty claim and you might be ok. After our warranty issues, I researched online and found a ton of the same complaints, no way to contact the warranty dept. and they absolutely will not respond to warranty claims. I will never by Lane Furniture again.
