the borer's didn't invest 1.5mil......the lenders they borrowed from probably didn't even require a down payment....if they did it would be at max 20%...so if they invested 1.5mil at 20% the most that came out of pocket from the borer's was 300k.....they easily recooped that when they refinanced and had the new lender pay off the old lender who would then release their downpayment.....the 1.5mil is about what they have taken from the properties they sucked dry.....then don't forget about all of the people they screwed over by not paying....they have walked out on many bills.....as far as the restaurant that is nothing more than a write off for them....when you illegaly take 1.5mil you need a big loss to offset that income.....the borer's are bad people....they don't care who they screw over...they have done it in other communities and are doing it here...if the mayor has asked for an investigation more that a year ago he should do a follow up call....these people have really hurt the community with their pump and dump scheme....

How can you say that is a lie? Everything in the comment is 110% true. There never was any intention to fix up these properties. Many were condemned when they were purchased and were slated to be taken down. Now hopefully they will be taken down. Less housings = Less lowlifes!

actually if any of you knew the Borers or their company you would know that they have good intentions and that they have already fixed up alot of their properties...they run their buildings a lot better than most landlords. the mayor is just on a witch hunt.

i do know the borers and i don't think they had any intention of fixing these places up....look at the paper trail and it say's it all.....i do know the borers and i know how much they're trying to stick me for....i do know the borers and i know how many other people wait at the court every month for the little bastard to show up....every month the same thing...."i'm going to pay"....every month the same thing.....no money.....i for one have had it.....daniel borer and his mother should watch the movie with danny devito...i thinks it's called tenemant, where he is sentenced to live in one of his shit holes....and let's not forget that this is not the first time they have done this.....

Chris, you hit it right on the nose. Anyone who had dealings with the little **** knows all that you and the mayor stated is true. I've seen him in court laugh in judge Feins face when he was told to obey a housing court order. He has no respect for anyone, not even himself! Hopefully, this time he wont rise from the ashes to do this again.

i dont know about any violations like the article talks about but some of their properties are in pretty good shape...they also have a pretty cool website. a friend of mine is a tenant of theirs and she says they are really good about fixing stuff. who knows

i too don't know about his land-lording skills, but he does have a nice car and seems to dress relatively nicely. the restaurant is open decent hours and no longer has a roach infestation.

actually the drub bust at his building at howland ave was the apartment above his and had nothing to do with him or his girlfriend. and if you all had any clue about what you were talking about and even knew the guy like i do you would know that he moved out of that building after the bust.
and if you read the names in the paper and even knew his girlfriends name you would have seen that their names were not in the article.

and as for their website. name one other land lord in town that you can pay your rent online from your checking account like my friend does every month.

John. just so you know. Chris is no longer a city councilman. no one wanted to hear what he had to say. his ideas are always out there and irrational. hes a well known hot head around town. he's the kind of guy that yells at his customers and tries to bully everyone around.
just go read the posts on the other transcript articles and you will see that Chris has an opinion on everything and thinks he's gods gift to the world. no one can stand the guy. he 's extremely ignorant and arrogant.

i noticed how one of the other posters made reference to Borer's "restaurant". I think if you do some research you will find out that poster owns a restaurant himself. A rather small place that I hear is not doing very well and is going out of business. The Borer's restaurant Steeples is successful and has been around for years. Maybe we should boycott little unknown restaurants that have owners that go out of their way to take stabs at the personal lives of their competition...seems a bit childish to me as well.

as a proud member of the north adams community, i live on walnut street. my family and i have one of the best views of our gorgeous city. im glad to hear that Mr. Tremblay thinks my street is such a slum. where exactly do you live? let me guess? williamstown! and to think that at one time you represented our city and yet you can be so degrading about one our streets, one that is rich with history and character. shame on you!

steeples use to be sucessful.....so the landlord who rented to drug dealers moves out of his own building after a drug bust....my restaurant isn't going out of business....i pay my bills....your house on walnut st may have a nice view but the one borer owns is a shit hole....that's all i was saying....and you've got it fight i am a hot head....i'm done responding on this one.....borer is a piece of shit.....

Amusing. If they run their properties the way they run Steeples, (cash in lieu of rubber paychecks, a long line of suppliers waiting to be paid and refusing to do business) they deserve the crap they are getting.
