Yes. They will pass that cost onto anyone looking to buy a house in the future. And knowing how good the government is on following up on these kinds of bills, most beneficiaries will sell their house without relinquishing a single penny of those profits. If they pass this bill, then it needs to be continuous. that means I should be able to go buy a house I can't afford next month or two years from now and then have the Government come in and subsidize my loan so that I can afford it.

But, you can't blame him for this. He simply set out to make owning a home more affordable for the poorer population - something any Democrat would have chomped at the bit to do. It was the speculation and idiots buying into the "prices will only go up so buy now or you will never be able to afford one" argument. He didn't outline a policy where mortgage lenders decide to forgo a complete background check to verify that the applicant's assests match their claims in order to reap in more profits.

Basically, the mortgage lenders fed the speculation frenzy by assuring idiots that they could resell their houses at a higher profit and provided the funding through ARMs without considering what would happen when all these people couldn't sell.

We bought 4 years ago, and are paying 300% more in property tax than others on the same street. 300-400 a month is HELPING TO FORCE A LOT MORE PEOPLE INTO THE STREET.
While those that have been here and bought 10 years ago GET OFF HAVING OTHER PEOPLE PAY THEIR TAXES out of 1 side of their MOUTH and complain about gov help OUT of the other side of their months.
