I remember the gas lines, and the 21% interest on car loans. Also, being embarrassed and humiliated by the rest of the world, especially Iran. Our people held hostage while Carter twiddled his thumbs! He was the worst president ever, but Obama may de-throne him!

Man, totally remember that! He put so many restrictions on the 'rescue helicopters' they had to land in the desert, then we lost twenty-something men in an unecessary accident.

Ronnie "ray-gun" gets inaugurated and iran couldn't give back our people fast enough...... or face the wrath of the new adminstration, someone with big steel ones!

Carter was worthless..

I am a staunch republican, however I think Jimmy Carter is a wonderful person. He has done many great things for the American people. And he did get some of the hostages out through covert operations, but they were not broadcasted in order to protect the remaining hostages. Do you people ever watch anything on television other than American Idol??

Ok, given everyone's a nice guy. The Canadian Embassy got those few hostages out. We didn't have AI back then. We had Soupy Sales...

That's not the whole story but at least you knew something about it, as most Americans do not.

Had a contract with BELL helicopters for a 2 year job in Tehran. BELL evacuated 2 weeks before I was to go.

Kept up with it up to the Release of the Embassy Hostages.

Most of the Shaw's people were relocated to Oklahoma and Northern Texas. I now work with a few.

Remember the 80's song by "Flock of Seagulls"? they thought the words said "Iran so far away"

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Taurus

Social situations bring out the best in you right now, especially if they encourage you to be a free spirit and you don't have to worry about being on your best behavior all the time. In fact, you'll welcome the chance to kick over the traces in some way or remind certain people that you're a much more complex personality than they sometimes give you credit for.
