"In addition, an IRS spokesperson confirmed last week that some economic-stimulus payments have gone to the wrong bank accounts. " But yet the fine print across all of the IRS publications state that they are not responsible for electronic refunds or dispersements of money that go to the wrong account. It is kind of 'buyer beware' when you elect to use electronic deposit.

I got my money deposited into my account just like they said it would. When you consider that the IRS didn't have a lot of time to prepare for this project, they should be commended on their performance. With all big projects you come across things that don't quite work the way you intended.

Who says you're entitled to anything? Maybe you and all the other "victims" should have saved more or kept working. What will you do when you don't have Bush to blame anymore? Try a mirror...

I wonder if the IRS will pay interest. They seem to tag you for every thing you have, they threaten you and destroy others for mistakes unknowningly made but if they mess up, wwe all have to sit back and be patient? Our entire system stinks!

Richard, I see the state can get money that it is owed from the stimulus check, but if you have no past-due taxes, that isn't an issue.

I paid 7k in on taxes due to a company paid relocation (don't get too excited, I lost my ace on the relo and at tax time). Because I had to pay in, electronically no less, now I have to wait. Nothing like getting stuck on both ends...

Bush can't but all the Representatives and one third of the Senate are up for reelection this year and three Senators are still in the race for President.

So yes, "reelect me payments." Just not "reelect Bush" payments.

No - just to make sure every one is insured and let doctors run the health care system rather than large insurance companies which aren't exactly doing a bang up job.
