Did the IRS file an extension with the taxpayers involved? If not, we want our money with interest and penalty fees!

I just received this email from TurboTax:
Dear Valued Customer, We want to provide you with the most up–to–date information about the tax rebate to which you may be entitled. Recently, you may have received a letter from the IRS advising you when to expect your Economic Stimulus Payment (rebate). That IRS letter may have inadvertently left off some important information. Taxpayers who chose to have their tax preparation fees deducted from their federal tax refund will receive their tax rebate in the mail, not via direct deposit. Our records show that you chose this payment option in TurboTax. As a result, the IRS has determined that you will receive your tax rebate in the mail. This may result in you receiving your rebate on a date later than expected. This situation, while not unique to TurboTax, is understandably causing some concern and confusion. To help further clarify the situation, below is the most current IRS rebate payment processing schedule, as well as additional resources about the tax rebates. I hope you find this information helpful. If you still have questions, the best source for the most up-to-date information is www.irs.gov (see the "Rebate Payment Questions" link). Sincerely, Bob Meighan Vice President, TurboTax Customer Advocacy |

Hey, at least you're getting something. I work my ever-loving a_s_s off and apparantly I earn too much money, so I get nothing. How is that fair? Nancy Pelosi and her band of Merry Men made sure the people in this country who work harder and earn more money will get nothing. Hope that stupid welfare- loving wh@re rots in hell. |

This is not free money. I paid $8000 in taxes now I am getting back $600. What is wrong with that.
The Gov needs to stop big tax preparing companies from allowing poor people to take out loans before they get their refund. Big companies that prepare taxes are making billions of dollars this way. |

I filed my taxes in late January and my refund was directly deposited. I was expecting to see the incentive check in my account no later than today (5/16) according to the IRS site. This is most disturbing and frustrating as well especially considering that you cannot get a human voice on the IRS number!!!

I got $97! I called the IRS and told them to keep it but they said they can't. Once again, those that achieve success get screwed.

You get what you reap. The Quickie Tax Refund Loans are proving to be not so quick in this case. Holding up people's stimulus refunds. At least the spending will be spread out over several months instead of all at once. This will hopefully spur the retailers to continue their tax stimulus price reductions from a few weeks, to several months. That could benefit the consurmer. I received my tax rebate in my account today! I had direct deposit of my original refund, filed the last week of March. The stimulus came according to the IRS Schedule of Stimulus Refunds which was based on the last two digits of the tax payrers social security number.( I haven't been stimulated to spend the money as yet)

It's not Bush's fault. It's the incompetent fools government agencies are forced to hire. Affirmative action, BETA, etc. You just can't get good help these days.

I guess the American President has become a dictator now... is that it? Do you people go to school and learn what you are supposed to learn? There's a big legislative body made up of two houses - called Congress. They spend your money - not the President. They authorize what, how and when money is spent - not the President. Wake the hell up and at least pretend you took civics classes! Next thing you'll be saying is tha the President is to blame for a Supreme Court decision. What a bunch of mental morons the average Joe has become in this country. |
