Just a question from one City employee to another: How do you feel about the City hiring these workers into positions, and who are not qualified to do the work and yet are having pay scales higher than those that await a promotional opportunity. I can see if they were hired into entry level positions, however, instead the City is creating jobs through contract hiring to take care of these workers. Did these Departments know well in advance that these positions were needed? nd if they were needed, then why not put it through the regular process of opening the position and giving the full-time employees the chance for a promotional opportunity. I thought the Mayor took care of his City family. I'm pretty sure it's causing a lot of inner stress and descension.
