I don't want to hear any more leftist propaganda about how jobs and the future of this country is based on green technology. It is a scam. I invested in this company based on the promises and amount of money gifted to Evergreen Solar. I have lost just about all of it. After taking my and taxpayer money they are going to China. Then I hear the federal government is thinking about giving more of our money to a giant wind farm in Texas. Problem is the turbines are made in China! When is Tsongas going to come clean and start telling us the truth?

The same people who whined about the noise will now be first in line to whine about their taxes going up to pay for the unemployment benefits, the shrinking economy, etc.

Just another example of how government central planning does not work. Solar panels are very inefficient compared to fossil fuels. But because they represent some ideal of socialists, they reap financial subsidies.

Solar panels are not economically viable at this point, so stop subsidizing them.

This is why every single government grant either state or federal needs to have a provision in it that if the company moves, voluntarily, to another nation or state they should have to pay back the entire grant, plus interest and a penalty to make sure they don't get started and then bolt for greener pastures.

It's pretty bad when your being rip off by your gov. We have representatives at all levels making alot or money and failing to protect us. The time is coming when people won't put up with it. We should be marching on the homes of these representatives.

Unless the morons in Washington do something this is going to keep repeating over and over. Call it protectionism or what ever you want but there is no way ANY company can compete with China. Even if you paid everyone from the CEO to the person emptying the barrels at night mininunm wage it is still cheaper in China. They don't have to worry about the enviroment, insurance, worker comp and they pay 1/10 of what we make here. If the morons in Washington won't act the people have to. If we don't take care of this our standard of living and our country will go down the tubes. We will become a 3rd world nation.

This kind of stuff has been happening for years. Our liberal and greedy pols want the world on even playing ground (world socialism) As soon as we have empowered all and diminished what we have there will be a global take over of America. Stop empowering countries that are communist would be a good start at fixing our problem!

Geez - what a bunch of jackasses...
Seriously people - is there an advanced degree in a pure science or technology amongst the lot of you?
Do you have any idea what it takes to develop new technology?
Do you have any idea what it takes for a startup to even begin to gain traction in the market?

...I'm guess there is a resounding "No" to all of these questions.

Considering that the CEO Rick Feldt is building a multi million dollar home somewhere down the Cape and drives a Jaguar supposedly given to him from Evergreen Solar Corporation for all his great work The employees were given a ten percent cut in pay , the company is poorly managed.... it is not people complaining about the noise that made the company go away why hasn't someone investigated how all that money from state and private investors has flown the coop isn't time for evergreen to step up and explain where the money went... the majority of wrkers are not even employed by evergreen they are temps
