Gibbs College campus will be shut down

i am so happy that they are closing down that school is nothing but scam. they over charge people no wonder no one wants to go there any more. for a two year degree they have charged me over $35,000 thats crazy

I agree I went to gibbs Farmington, and the school is a joke. For starters it is too expensive for a school that has non trasferable credits and teaches nothing. Secondly they don't teach you anything " I'm serious " .You have 12 - 4 hour classes to lern how to use a program, and teachers use it to bullshit you. I am disgusted at how much i payed to go to this school. I feel like I was robbed. You know I was robbed!!!

It seems that you have not the intelligence to go to any kind of school given the deplorable nature of your spelling.

It is "learn" not "lern". It is "paid" not "payed".

Sam and Justin. Obviously you have waisted your money because you could't learn anywhere. You should talk to people whose lives were turned around by Gibbs. Get a life and study.

Oh please Gibbs is a rip off. I guess your one of the students who never questioned why you were charged so much. I see you didn't learn much, because you spelled "waisted" instead of wasted. Look we all got over charged that's the bottom line. Everyone pays over 35,000.00 no matter what you major in and that's not fair.

If you graduated from Gibbs most likely you ended up with a big student loan to pay and minimun knowledge on your major. They promise good education and preparing you for the labor force. They did not kept their word and should be liable for this. SHoudl get a good attorney and sue them as a group to pay for at least 1/2 of the debt we had to acquire to pay for their wasted programs.

Gibb's robbed me of some hard earned tuition money as well. That place was a scam.

this school really screwed me over.. right before i graduated after $31,000 they say owe another 5,700 dollars out of no where! what the hell. So now i cant get my dipolma anymore cause i refuse to pay

Sorry my spelling is wrong Asshole, sometimes people get caught up in what there trying to say but I graduated with a 3.8 so go fu** yourself, the school lied to me and many other people so don't talk to me like I’m a fool. Instead of bashing my spelling why don’t you look up the thousands of complaints on Gibb’s and the simple fact that the school is closing, which is probably because of their low success rate.

Yeap thats right my friend they are scam.I owe over 40,000 and my credit is gone.My main complaint is about Sallie Mae. I am getting 3 calls a day, 6 days a week and they are calling my job. I am been cursed, yelled at and harrassed continuously.Thank you sallie mae for destroying my life

My name is Sangar and I'm a former student of Gibbs College Norwalk, CT . I came accross your story on the web, and I understand your situation. I attended the school for 2 yr, and just like everyone that went to Gibbs my credit has been damaged due to this school. I am trying to put together a law suit since the school is closing as of March 09. Because of the time frame I believe the law suite would be against Career Education Corp because they owned Gibbs College. Seeing that Sallie Mae is a lender there would also be suit against them. CEC had to know that there school wasn't accredited. So much information was misleading. I've tried to obtain my transcript so I can complete my degree some where else and they will not release it to me because they claim I owe money. If you don't mind me asking. Have you heard from any other people about this situation? What have you done about your situation? I look forward to hearing from you soon. I am also trying to find people who have already been through the process. I was made aware of a lawsuit in 2003-2004 against Gibbs. If you have any question feel free to ask me.
