Can others of us like myself who have experienced brown stains, seemingly related to the Crest product, join the class action suit?

Nope, that class action lawsuit is taking place in California from what I understand.

I used the Crest Pro Health Night Rinse Nov 07 and had a allergic type reaction swollen tongue, sore throat & voice change. Since I now have a partial paralysed vocal cord. I email P & G and they sent me a $2.00 refund(like they really care what they produce)

My brown stains and altered taste were temporary. I could taste only salty-- it seemed like my other taste buds were dead. I also had a very dry, sore mouth-- tongue felt swollen. After my dentist cleaned my teeth(with a special salt treatment) and I switched to Biotene toothpaste and mouthwash, the taste improved and my stains didn't come back. However, longterm effects remain. I still have a very dry mouth and considerable soreness. Are you sure I can't be included in a class action suit?

I used Crest Pro-Health 2 times and my tastebuds seem to have died. I was going to contact my doctor but decided to surf the web first. I was both relieved to know the cause and horrified to realize this product is still on the market. Shame on P&G! Come on America, its time we let corporate america know they have a moral obligation to remove this hazard from store shelves!

I started using Crest Pro-Health about a week and a half ago, first thought was how terrible it tasted and felt like there was a coating left on my tongue. Now for the past week I have been having a sore throat, mild but constant, not sick any other way. I thought maybe allergies??? Then I realized the timing of the new tooth paste, logged on to see if there was any one else out there with the same problem and wow what a shock to see all these complaints. Off to the store to get a different toothpaste as Pro-Health is in the trash.

For the last week or so - and increasing in intensity and severity -
my entire mouth feels like it was badly burnt by hot foods.

My tongue is swollen and fuzzy, taste buds irritated, gums are tender and feel abraded, cracked lip corners and blistered lips.

Assuming it was a new face wash with peppermint extract I stopped using that product.

No change.

Although I never expected toothpaste to be the cause as I've been using Crest products my entire life - I eventually suspected Crest Pro-Health Night Care and found many online complaints.

So jls - I "ditto" your complaint.

First - cease the Pro-Health

Second - Consult my dentist, periodontist and physician as I'm experiencing new digestive complaints as well.

Third - Write P&G

Fourth - continue to monitor this topic on this forum and volunteer to participate in any action that follows this outpouring of complaints!

I am so glad i decided to look up info on this mouthwash i have been using the past week. last week i got my lip pierced...my piercer recommended alcohol free mouthwash...so when i saw crest i thought, perfect. the first time i used it i had a strange after taste. i thought nothing of it. a few days later i developed a small cold...so when i couldnt taste anything i wasnt alarmed. i continued to use the mouth wash...and now, (as i am better from my cold)i still cannot taste anything. my lip of my tongue is raw..as if i burned it on hot food. i will never use that trash again...now i just wonder how long it will take to get my sense of taste back...

I used Crest Pro-Health night oral rinse one time and my tongue felt like it was being chemically burned, afterwards it swelled up, my right gland was swollen the whole next day, and all the next day I had a metallic taste in my mouth and couldn't taste any of the food I was eating. At first I couldn't figure it what had happened, but then I tried the mouthwash again and the whole thing happened all over again. It took a few days for my taste buds to return to normal.

so my toungue is intensely burning and it hurts beyond belief. i am so upset with crest and most of all myself for actually using the product after i remember hearing of complaints about it. i just recently got my lip pierced and it was told to me that "Crest is Best.", so of course thats what i got. well now my mouth hurts unbelievably and i have such messed up taste. ugh. i read it will get better in a few days. oh and just like what another writer said, it feels like an incredibly bad burn on my toungue. at first i contributed it to my coffee then i realized, "omg, its that damn mouth wash!"

I used Pro-health and my tongue started to dissolve! I need to join that class action suit so I can get some repartitions!

I think it caused me to spend more on my credit cards too. Crest should reimburse me for those as well. I don't know what they put in there but it isn't good.

There is no doubt that this mouthwash has some side effects. I have an extremely sore throat right now that i believe is due to the Crest Pro Health mouthwash. This is the second time I have tried to use it and the second time I have stopped due to a severely sore throat with no other symptoms. Upon telling my friend about this discovery he too can make the connection between this product and his constant sore throat. I called Crest and although they claim to have never heard of this particular symptom they do have a medical questionnaire readily available for you. I would recommend that you stop using this product immediately.

Last week I started using Crest Pro-Health Night toothpaste and continued to use it for about 4 nights or so. Within days of using it I realized that I had completely lost my sense of taste and I have a weird metallic taste in my mouth and almost an icky slime on my tongue. And, my tongue burned and my throat hurt the next morning after using it. I put two and two together and decided it all started with new toothpaste so I did some google-ing online and lo and behold, tons of consumer complaints. It's been about 3 days since I quit using it and my sense of taste still hasn't returned. I am visiting the dentist today and can't wait to hear what he has to say. For everyone else, leave this crappy, destructive product on the shelf.

Last year I used Crest Pro Health - I woke up the next morning with a mouth full of white gunk and a swollen tongue - the white rinsed w away but my tongue still feels swollen - is there really a class action lawsuit in Califonia - does anyone have that information?

I just recovered from a cold, having been using this new toothpaste now about 2 months I would say. I am not 100% sure this is the cause, but I suspect that this toothpaste is causing my current problem. My cold was getting better, but then I started a nasty cough to the point of vomiting. I just brushed my teeth and now I really feel my throat is tight. I am taking Tylenol Flu to stop the cough and that's been fine. But now after brushing tonight my throat is very tight. I am going to stop brushing with this toothpaste and buy some of that Tom's Natural stuff again, though it's expensive.

It isn't really surprising when you think of it, how if it leaves film in your mouth to protect your teeth, how it could end up in your throat.

These bastard corporations can do whatever they want, and you can bet Obama isn't going to stop them.
