Unused tracks on Mare Island now bar way to development

ASOL, there will always be someone that does not like this or that. Napa already has a working rail in good condition, I am not concerned with them.
I have many friends in Napa who work in SF and OAK and use the Ferry to get to work. Once Vallejo will charge for parking in their garage, along with the price of gas, plus the time sitting in traffic, would make rail service the next best thing to sliced bread. Of course by train I invision not a long tail of cars, but two at the most, running at a brisk schedule and stopping only twice along the route from Napa directly to the Ferry Terminal.
I do not see this as futuristic but a long overdue type of public transport which should already be in place and connect the Bay Area with Sacramento and the North Bay.

For what purpose? A lot of us believe the City has been squandering the taxes we already pay. Has it not? A sales tax is regressive and it will hurt the folks who can least afford it. You're going to have to specify a really good reason here.
